A very bohemian Coffee Shoppe, which you would find in Abbott Kinney or Silver Lake (LA neighborhoods). Great hot tea, scones and breakfast sandwiches.

Went in yesterday with my sister for breakfast. The only barista working was extremely rude and made us feel like we were a burden for even entering. My Sister and I playfully went back and forth about who’s paying and the lady rolled her eyes and told us to «fight outside» in the sassiest tone. Like really? If I were that owner I’d tell her to find a different job! i used to advocate for the Fillin Station but count me out! Definitely avoiding it now. Coffee was terribly made and the breakfast sandwich was sub par. I’ve had better customer service at McDonalds. And trust me. I’ve had my fair share of customer service jobs so I get the days where you feel like crap but she was just a brat. Wish I could give 0 stars.

My daughter and I stopped in here today and I’m very glad we did! The specialty drink options were vast and varied so there is something for everyone. I enjoyed an iced Caramello which was a perfectly lightly sweetened latte. My daughter had an iced Snickers which was a close copy of a drink she enjoyed from Dutch Brothers in California. The food menu and bakery items sounded and looked delicious so there is double incentive for us to come back… Good coffee and yummy food to try.

My boyfriend and I came here 2 – 3 times a week to grab coffee, hang out and read. It’s the most cozy coffee shop in Kato. The furniture is a mix of random pieces that all comes together very nicely. The staff is the best part. I don’t know her name but the girl with the curly brown hair is always so pleasant! She recognized us and would always make conversation when we came in. Now we moved but every time I come back to visit I will make a stop there. Now we’re having trouble finding a coffee shop in Chicago that compares to this place, and that says a lot!

Classic coffee house ambience with eclectic furniture and rooms in older downtown area. Parking on street and nearby available. Friendly staff serves quality coffee. Worth the visit!
