Tower Tavern

I wish there was a no star option. We were visiting a friend’s grandma, and decided to stop off at this place and give it a shot. Mind you we have not heard anything about this place and if we had known the service was going to be horrendous we wouldn’t have attended. First it took about 30 minutes to even get our drink orders in, yep 30 minutes just to get in touch with the waitress. Then another 30 to receive the drinks. After 15 more minutes we finally were able to put our orders in. We got a APPETIZER order of wings and then 3 burgers for entrees. (There were 3 of us). We figured it would take 15 – 20 minutes as the place wasn’t too busy. An hour later and 3 dart games we still haven’t gotten anything. It was ridiculous. Finally after waiting an hour and a half we received our food. Sadly they messed up and brought our burgers out first. So far we had to wait 2 hours for our food, then they didn’t even serve it in the right order. I felt like only the regulars were getting served and got special treatment. The food was alright nothin special, but if your from out of town. STAY AWAY SORRY

The food is great and service is good, as long as you are nice. Of course as new people work, they may not be as great right away. But the usual bartenders and servers are so friendly, whether you are a local or new customer.
It recently has gotten a new bar top, so I would hardly call it a five bar. They have a decent selection on tap for Manitowoc County, and always have good food and drink deals.

Avoid if you’re from out of town. They didn’t even serve us. We left and found somewhere else to go. Sheesh.

In town for work, I visited Tower Tavern on the recommendation of a Manitowoc resident. While it was somewhat understaffed, the food was great and incredibly cheap! A great spot for anyone who can appreciate a true dive bar!

Okay, for me This place had one of THE best burgers I have eaten in a long, long time. (Flamingo Café in PSL used to have burgers this good but they have long since cheapened and changed for the worst.) We all met here for an after work supper, recommended by one of our counterparts that lives in Manitowoc. The beer was excellent as were the appetizers. I would definitely return if I lived there. It seemed like a fun place. My burger was well done and still it was juicy and charred at the same time. I say stop in and eat… and drink a little.

I just ate the best steak sandwich EVER! Great price and a very friendly staff. I will be back for sure!

Stopped in for lunch after hearing good reviews. The ½ lb burger was the special of the day so I have that a shot. It was grilled behind the bar over an open flame. I though it was a little overdone yet still had really good flavor and the bun was especially great! I also ordered onion rings with my meal and they where you average bar quality.

Cold beer good burgers and a great atmosphere a real good place to spend a hot afternoon. Not too loud or too much going on. It is just right and a fun place to go!
