Outrageous prices!
We called Nichols to come to our house because our electricity had gone out in half of the house. The owner himself & his son (who said he wasn’t an electrician at the time of service) had came from another, larger job.
My husband & I were home the whole time & explained the problem. They went through the areas of the house that weren’t receiving power & tested the outlets & light switches. They tried testing the bathroom (1 light switch/​outlet combo), the adjacent hallway (1 light switch & 1 light above), the attached dining room (1 light switch & 1 hanging light) & the kitchen light (1 light above). all of these worked. The son then went outside for whatever reason & heard a fuse «pop» as he said & realized it was an old extension cord that had blown in our garage. He disconnected it, they cleaned up their things & left. They were there for less than an hour & we got stuck with a $ 180 bill. They said we had two electricians & they were there for 1 & ¾ hours. um no. We had ONE there & they were there for less than an hour. No repairs needed either!
WTF? — Ha! I should’ve been an electrician.
