Small but charming candy store. Scenic mountain location makes this a must after a days walk around the Springs. Owner and staff are very welcoming and attentive.

The owners are personable, interested in your favorites(hey, it’s candy!) and will exhibit the true Small Business Hospitality that makes shopping for the«local guy» worth every penny. I’m going to get it out there — Their fudge is divine. Free samples until you land on the one you love most(I’m a big fan of Salted Nut Roll, and their seasonals) and when I want a fix of Swedish Fish, random gummi varieties, and of course, their«did it right but still made it better» Oreo Bön-Bons, there is no equal. We also used them for a large wedding event and they delivered — even helped us take it out to the car! The assorted candies and other items we purchased were well received. Ok, demolished. Apparently friends and family have a sweet tooth. ;) I love that even prior to the large purchase for the wedding, they always remember us, always have a nack for showing us something that may fit into our«likes» sphere, and are always friendly and outgoing every visit. No trip to Manitou is complete without a visit to Goldminers!

Never have I seen/tried so many varieties of licorice. I must admit, they weren’t all too my liking(some too chewy, some way too salty), but I was happy to try and discover some new favorites. I also sampled some fudge and especially enjoyed the cinnamon roll flavor. Plentiful offerings and samples make for a good candy store in my book.

Ok. I have a confession to make. I’m addicted to licorice. Licorice root, anise, fennel, star anise, all the above. And there’s only one place I get my fix on — Goldminers in Manitou Springs. Everywhere else is: buy this bag with artificial flavoring, buy this bag of mass produced Aussie licorice, buy this box with a cute Panda Bear(ok, they’re alright). But Goldminers has an entire make your licorice mix of 20+ varieties from all over the world ranging in softness, saltiness, sweetness, herbal tones, and shapes. For $ 8.99/lb. You like your’s double salted? They got it. You like unraveling licorice pinwheels? They’re your’s. You like your licorice with some caramel in between? Done. And if you’re not sure about what you want, they allow licorice samples. And they have so much homemade fudge made by the owner’s brother. Fudge samples too. Are you tempted yet? Regardless, this is the #1 place I have found for licorice in Colorado and all my other travels.

There are a bunch of candy shops in Manitou Springs, but Goldminers nuts and Candy is the one I go to the most. The sea salt fudge is my favorite. Plus, the guys working there are pretty cool.

I live in Denver, but any time I’m in Manitou I HAVE to stop in for some AMAZING fudge from Goldminers! They really do have the best fudge anywhere. The owner is so nice and is always ready to hand you a sample of his DELICIOUS treats. They also have the freshest taffy I’ve ever found! Keep up the good work!

Well I’m sure glad they added the«& Candy» to their title or this would be a whole ‘nother review. This quaint little candy parlor features eight different trypes of fudge, from the traditonal rocky road to the more exotic raspberry swirl. They were making jalapeño peanut brittle when I arrived! They also carry oddity old time packaged candy of yore, like«Zots», one of my favorites. The owners, Manny and Leslie, are really friendly and its just a charming place to indulge your sweet tooth.
