I’ve been seeing sponsored posts on Facebook about their new hangout called Heroes Hollow. I decided to check it out on a weekend in the early afternoon. This was my experience with no exaggerations. I stepped through the threshold and quickly saw movement in the back of the store. An employee appeared and he walked behind the counter. I looked at him and with a smile said a cheery hello. His response was an obvious look of annoyance and a curt hi. I walked in(the store was empty, btw), poked my head into the Hollow, observed a couple of middle-aged guys talking at a table. I thought the space looked kinda cool. I turned to walk back to the store and as I was leaving the employee passed right by me making no eye contact, nothing. During my visit there was no asking if I was looking for something he could help me find and when I left there was no goodbye or thanks for stopping in. What’s the deal?! The employees are keeping paying customers away. Is this really what the owners want? Or maybe he was an owner and he just doesn’t care? Either way, I’m never going back and will not recommend this place to friends.

when I walked in it was like stepping into my childhood, I loved all the vintage toys from the 80’s that you just can’t find anymore and most of the collectibles were in great condition, found some for my collection that I just couldn’t find anymore. love the comic collections and everything is so tidy and well organized. huge game room in the back which I love and will be returning to just for that reason. This place is a step up from the usual comic stores I visited which were boring and uninviting. CK comics has a unique feel to it. this place is a must visit the next time you are in Manitou.

Supremely kind staff. Good knowledge of comics and gaming. I was surprised to find a well stocked vintage 80’s toy collection for sale. Without doubt this spot will be on my must visit list every time I visit Manitou Springs.

Seems to have slipped a lot since opening the people that work there are douche bags they don’t seem to have much respect for the books. They have some cool toys to look at but it is very overpriced.

Awesome little comic book store located right in the heart of Manitou Springs. It is locally owned and operated. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. My little guys love to go browse; it’s just what Manitou needed!

Stopped here after a few months after my initial visit and nothing has really improved. Only change I noticed was it was more organized and they had some current issues on shelves and by some I mean like maybe 10 – 12 different titles. No reason to ever stop in here again.

Small and a little dusty feeling. Mostly toys from the eighties and comics from the 80−90s.
