Thoroughly enjoyed Manistee National! The rooms were standard but clean, we could drive golf carts around the campus(to and from the lodge to the course), and the Canthooke course was fun! But what sets this place apart is the amazing food at the clubhouse. Probably the best dining experience I’ve had in some time at a course. Food was so excellent my entire party raved about it all night. I had the pork, friends had the flank steak, and the rest had the chicken conquistador and all were amazing! Compliments to the chef! The beer selection was good as well, plenty of MI beers to choose from. We also had lunch there prior to tee off and the buffalo chicken wrap was pretty good too. Would stay there again whenever I’m in that part of the state. The course wasn’t too bad either. Played the easier of the two and will be back for Cutter Ridge as soon as I can. Just had a fantastic stay.

The pro shop needs a lesson in customer service. After spending more than $ 100, they knowingly refused to correct an overcharge. They then ignored a letter requesting a refund of the overcharge and were dismissive of our complaint in a follow-up phone call. Update: more than 25 days after the above-described events, the pro shop refunded the overcharges and apologized.

I recently ate dinner at the Osprey Grille and was quite pleased with the Friday night fish fry. The prices are reasonable and the food good which is hard to find in Manistee. This is on my list of places to eat in the area. The wait staff was also very helpful in making a bunch of special drinks for a large group. I also had an opportunity to see the inside of a room and thought it was very nice and comfortable… I wish I had stayed there.

Have played here numerous times, ate here a couple times, and stayed at the resort once. The golf is exceptional, and a steal for what you pay. 36 holes, and 2 distinct racks. Canthooke Valley is the easier of the two, but that isn’t saying much and Cutters’ Ridge is cut into some lowlands. This is really a challenging layout and you’ll need your«A» game to score well. The food is above average, and the prices are average, making dining good all around. The one time we stayed at the Inn we were able to hear our neighbors a little more than we wanted to. Other than that, we were very happy and will definitely return.
