One star… and that is frankly generous. Where to begin? The scenario: family coming to stay for about a month. Needed space and close to our Manheim home. Family was three guys, not super high expectations, in other words easy to please. My husband and I wanted to pay for the first week at least, so he called and the guy would only take cash. What the hell? So, being close, he drove down with the deposit. Talked to the owner for a few minutes, seemed a reasonable guy. He even offered us a larger room to accommodate the three adults. Cool. Ok. Here is what they encountered: *upon arrival, noted distinct lack of extra toilet paper. Tp was also the cheapest single ply sandpaper you can imagine. Housekeeping not super thrilled with resupplying. So we gave them tp. *one towel per person. Despite our arrangement and the knowledge he would get a months worth of fees… the owner would only give one towel per person per week. Extra towels were some outrageous rate. So we loaned them towels. *room was cold. This was in the fall of 2014, just as the weather turned, and regardless of how high the thermostat went, it was freezing. Apparently this«larger» room was in an added section, and the extra bed was in some sort of ante room that WASNOTHEATED. *during the second night, one of our relatives had a spider run across his abdomen while he slept. He couldn’t catch it, but being from the south, he swore he could see that it was a brown recluse. We thought he was full of it, but then our other cousin had a spider bite him the next night; the welt was so terrible he wound up with cellulitis and had to get antibiotics at the ER. Guess it was a recluse after all. Given all of the above, we relocated them within the first week up the road to the newly completed comfort inn north of the turnpike. That place was like Heaven after this fiasco. The cleanliness alone was well worth the switch. Our advice: don’t send anyone here. It’s beyond disgusting and the owner is a disreputable jerk. How he stays in business I have no idea. What a waste of money and a poor reflection on our great town.

Had friends in town that were looking for an «economical» place to stay and close to us. I never even thought of this location, but my wife did. So, I looked around the room and listened to what our friends had to say. If you are looking for a, clean, very basic bed and bath, this may just fit the bill. Not fancy, by any stretch of the imagination and very small bathroom. However, owner was nice and filled the need for a place to sleep, shower and leave. Had to ask for extra pillows and the TV remote. Also had a broken handle on the dresser and a few ants in the bathroom. Rooms are being redone a little at a time. Front facing rooms hear all the Rt. 72 noise so would suggest asking for a rear room for some peace and a nice view.$ 60.00/Night so you get what you pay for, but better then a hooker hotel down on RT. 30.

We have stayed there for several years for a few days each year while passing through. We have always brought our cat and we have never had any problems. Our kitty doesn’t cause any problem. This year when we arrived the housekeeper was the only one there and knowing our room number let us in. When the owner arrived I went to pay for the days we would be there I mention our kitty was with us he was furious and wanted us to leave. He agreed to take a deposit that would be refunded. He did not refund us our deposit which he agreed he would. We will never stay there again.
