–I played some tennis in college. It was a good one year playing. I was a starter on the team but the worst player of anyone that started, lol. The whole experience was fun though, and at least not on bench for all the games. There was a CUNY tournament at end of season and we all got to play at Arthur Ashe Stadium in queens, the famous area out there. I ended up on 97 Greene Street for one of the secret Heineken parties for US open. Well, it was a USOPEN viewing party with free heinekens being dished out to the lucky few that made it. The event had about 70 people all together, the original guest list of about 100 was probably cut down due to heavy rain earlier. It sucks too the actual US Open matches did not even go off that day, Sept. 7th. We had to watch the replay of Tsonga vs Fish from the day before or so. It was great to get free Heineken lights, regular Heineken, and Heineken dark. I hit the bar up and had two of each plus a few waters. We were also given hot or cold pretzels and free popcorn to enjoy. One of the special tv’s had movies on it as well, but you could not hear. They played«The Hangover» at first, then«Superbad». Of course, fans had to be 21 and ID’s were checked at the door. There were also Ping-Pong tables and Foosball tables to enjoy. And of course, more free heineken, Overall, fun time, too bad I didn’t get to go back another day for more tennis action. It was a great VIP hideaway and nice seeing the Giant Plasma tvs at the spot.
