I have been here many times before and received wonderful customer service, today however, I experienced the worst. The store is closing down to re locate somewhere unknown, and the girl working was very complacent, rude, disrespectful and entirely unhelpful. Such a shame. If I didn’t love the dress as much as I do, I wouldn’t have purchased it out of principal.

The young saleswoman on duty was sweet but needed to learn more about couture. Or about honesty. I ended up buying a dress that was too small. At first glance it seemed to fit, but the waistline did not line up with my own, and the bust was too tight. So why did I buy it? Because it was my style and the colors were good for me. And I was lulled into idiocy by the aforementioned saleswoman, who kept insisting that the dress looked great on me. And I wanted to believe her! I observed the saleswoman giving similarly bad advice to two additional customers, both with slightly flawed but essentially good figures. The items that the saleswoman encouraged them to buy emphasized the women’s flaws and not their assets. Let me add, though, that the two women and I were of a «certain age,» and there was very little in the store that truly suited us. Although Teddy does feature a number of sophisticated styles, it is really meant for young things with tiny proportions.

Great unique fashionable selection of clothes, jewelry — have a shop on UES&UWS. And actually have a really nice staff who smile! makes all the difference. Oh, and most of the designers are all local(or US based). A mix of reasonably priced for the most part especially since the quality seems high on most pieces :)

Really bad customer service. I bought a dress from the UES store that turned out to be damaged(not by me). I tried returning it the next day but sales associate refused. Normally, I would completely agree with the return policy, however, in the case of an item that was purchased damaged, I think the store should make an exception. I believe this is horrible customer service. With so many other boutiques in NYC, you’d think they would try to do a better job keeping customers. I would rather spend my money at a store where customers are appreciated.

I really love this little shop! Every time I stop in, I find something adorable. Usually several things… oops. They carry a lot of great affordable brands — Jack, BB Dakota, Many Belles Down, etc, as well as what seems to be a ‘house’ line called Teddy — whose quality is definitely good for the price. Shirts, skirts, and so so so many dresses; plus accessories and jewelry. Lovely scarves! Kind of a Modcloth vibe. There’s really nothing bad I can say about this shop. It’s very nice to have a small, affordable boutique holding its own in the middle of what is an increasingly expensive, corporate retail stretch!

i like this place since i live near there. I stopped by last sunday and the stuff was so nice and really helpful. I bought one cloth from their web site because there wasn’t size what i wanted to buy at store. If it’s first time you buy on the web, you can get 25% discount !! such a big deal. If she hadn’t hand out the coupon, I wouldn’t have checked the site. I really appreciate her and hopping to find good stuff !!

I stop in whenever I’m walking by and always find something I like, but very rarely anything that I LOVE The store is small but well-organized and they carry a lot of great brands, including BB Dakota, as Alessa M. has noted. On the few occasions that I have walked out with something, I can tell you that the clothes are good quality– they’ve stood the test of time well– and they are often less expensive than other boutiques in the area like Wink and Pookie & Sebastian. Also, they have a great jewelry selection. The staff doesn’t help to raise their rating much. There’s a fine line between letting someone shop unbothered and straight-up ignoring them with a chip on your shoulder; the girls working at Teddy seem to think their store is much more exclusive than it actually is.
