LOOK ELSEWHERE! Unfortunately, you CAN’T TRUST OWNER! Seems like nice guy until after you book the place, then you can’t reach him. Things promised that were not delivered and then billed for them. Very combative and litigious about the whole thing. Bathrooms are disgusting. Lights went out and no one on premises. Guests, some elderely, could not see where they were going:(Don’t bother even looking here. Anywhere else would be a better experience.

I was looking for loft space rentals to have my wedding reception and came across Shop Studios. The advertised price was $ 3,500 to $ 6,500 and since this was in my budget I decided to go take a look. The space was cool, large, industrial, open and the employee who showed us around was very helpful. That was the good part.
I then reached out to the owner for a quote. I assumed it would be in the listed range, likely the higher end. He emailed back «Around 10K». I pointed out to him that this is materially different from the listed range, he replied «If you are ready to book, we can deal».
After not hearing from him for a week, my fiancé reached out to the very helpful employee who showed us around. She came back with a quote of $ 7,000 and asked us to come in and and discuss, great!
But wait, there’s more! The owner then replied to the same email and said «rental will be between 10k-​20k». What’s going on here?!
The bottom line is that Shop Studios is not a $ 10,000 venue, it does not have updated bathrooms or air conditioning. Having seen multiple lofts, it is more appropriately a $ 5,000 venue. Had the owner been reliable, honest or helpful, I would of gladly paid this and more after rentals, lighting etc.
