It takes forever to grow my hair and I asked for a haircut that would still leave a lot of length. I even showed a picture of the cut I wanted. I did not get the cut I asked for, it is really choppy, uneven, and due to the HORRIBLE layers she put in, which the haircut does not ask for, my thin hair now looks trashy. I have a conference next week and am really disappointed. Do people here just not know how to cut hair? I only have one more place I can try but it will take me a while before I set foot in a salon again.

As a military spouse I am used to having to frequently change stylists. So I am pretty understandable. However, when I arrived for my color and cut, I did not receive any of the services I requested… correctly, anyway. I asked for brown coloring similar to what it was naturally and cut to clean up the split ends (not even a new style). I left with red, very red, hair that was cut unevenly and still remained with split ends. Not to mention the bangs that were supposed to be long, were cut to my eyebrows with one snip of the scissors. The stylist put 4, let me repeat that, 4 layers of color on my hair. When I started questioning in the 2^nd layer of color, she didn’t skip a beat. I’ll be lucky if it doesn’t all fall out.
When I spoke with salon manager, her response was simply to have a consultation with my stylist to discuss what could be done better next time. Next time. Ah, no ma’am. So, 3 hours and $ 175 later, I will happily recommend you go elsewhere for your services. The hair services provided, customer service, and rescue (attempt) were all unacceptable.

I have been coming here for almost a year and maybe too often lol I never know what else to do with my hair but I am thankful to have found Carmen who listens and cares about my hair. Always makes great recommendations on their product lines. I have a hair appointment in two weeks and I can’t wait!

Just had the worst haircut of my entire life by Keyla or something. Its super choppy, very uneven and NOTHING LIKE I ASKED FOR. I look super white trash. I just asked for a trim and blowout. She cut a ton off and razored my ends making it choppy and trashy. My hair looked good before I came in and just really wanted the blowout. I had an very important day and now its ruined forever.

I’ve only ever had waxing done at this spa, but have never been disappointed. Pricing is on par with any other decent waxing place and the wax they use is very skin-​friendly from eyebrows to a brazilian. The interior of the building they’re in could use some renovation, that’s my only negative.

So maybe the beach by Lake Michigan in Chicago is not a real beach, but the beachgoers take their beachgoing seriously, hence spas offering amazing wax jobs are aplenty. Nothing could be said of this place. I doubt the person giving me the wax job had ever been to any beach; otherwise, she would’ve taken her job even more seriously.
The hot pan used was disgusting. The towels felt like the kind you’d probably find at a cheap motel.
I think I was just not lucky enough to be ‘helped’ by an awful staff even though she was supposedly highly recommended.
I wish I had remembered her name. Sure, she smiled when she walked into the room, but as soon as she started working, I knew I had made the biggest mistake. Not only did she seem to be in a rush, she was also sloppy. She also burned my skin.
I would never go back.
