I have always heard amazing things about Shake Rattle and Roll Dueling Pianos. I am not one to venture out where I Know there will be a huge crowd. Let me start by saying, I am so glad I did last night. I had an amazing and fun night. This show is off the wall. If you get a chance please go see them, last night was by far one of the best nights I have had in a long ling time.

Mark, Andrew, and the whole Shake, Rattle, and Roll Dueling Pianos crew are AWESOME! You would be hard pressed to find a show in NYC that is more entertaining. Reasonably priced live music played by incredibly talented musicians with a little humor thrown in. Its a perfect Saturday night. You will laugh and dance your butt off. We take all our friends and family to this show when they visit. We even find ourselves suggesting this show to complete strangers. My favorite show in NYC. Go.

I cannot say enough good things about Shake Rattle and Roll! I’ve been to the show many times at The Cellar in downtown Manhattan and have brought friends and family who have all raved about it afterwards. Every show has two players and a drummer and they will play any request as long as it is accompanied with some«love». Since the entire show is audience driven and every player has their own personality, no two shows are ever the same. Some nights are filled with Billy Joel and other classic 70s and 80s songs, other nights rap and 90s boy bands dominate the set list. Plus, the performers are always engaging the audience to get them to sing along, dance, and sometimes bring them up on stage to roast them. No matter what show I’ve been to, it is always a good time!

These guys are so much fun! I go to these shows regularly and ALWAYS have a blast. They’re very interactive with the crowd and give it 100% every show. I’m definitely hooked! They take requests and even played *N’SYNC’s Bye Bye Bye for me(even though they called me out for requesting it! :-P) If you’re looking for a good time, have a birthday or party planned or just wanna have a great weekend go to a show! :-)

If you’re looking for a fun night out, then make sure you go to a Dueling Pianos show. I have read some of the other reviews and am very surprised people didn’t enjoy the show they saw. I’ve been to several of their shows over the past year at Hurricane Pizza Grill in Columbia, PA and have enjoyed each show I attended. I think mostly it has to do with the performers that I have seen preform together. I feel some mesh better than others, but I haven’t been disappointed in the least by any of the shows I attended. Some shows have been a bit more raunchy than others, but I enjoy the raunchy shows The venue at which they performed had the kind of crowds that enjoyed the type of interaction the performers were giving be it raunchy, funny, entertaining or just plain fun!

We went to a show in New York with a large group for a birthday party. Most important thing to know, especially if it’s your first time at a dueling piano show: bring money. Lots of it; the entire night is run by cash. If you throw in anywhere from $ 1 to $ 10 with a song request, you likely will not hear that song. $ 20 per request and up is the sweet spot to get a single song played. Based on other reviews and pictures I saw here, I was expecting to have a rowdier time as they advertise«Roasts and Toasts,» but that didn’t materialize at our show. There weren’t any«roasts,» and again, toasts cost money. About $ 20 per(for a happy birthday toast, for example). I also expected there to be some dancing, but it was a fairly tame performance(and possibly audience?). It was definitely a fun time; the pianists played for a solid three hours, were interactive with the audience and truly did know pretty much every song you threw at them. But it was difficult to flag down the wait staff for service(I got the«1 minute» finger often) and drinks were extremely expensive for the quality($ 14 per); I would highly suggest going out for drinks before coming here. I would say if you have a large group and have never come to a dueling piano show, give this one a try – we did have a fun time and it’s worth the experience. That said, I would choose to spend the money elsewhere next time we have a big birthday group.

Never again. Maybe I didn’t know what to expect… maybe I was thinking I would hear a full song. instead i heard VERYTALENTED Pair of Performers NEVER finish a song because of the commercialization of the act. Songs went up to $ 50 a request and some would only be played for 30 seconds. The competitive nature of the crowd helps feed into the hundreds of dollars being showered over the performers. Over a 90 mins we never heard one full song played… no thanks.

Came to see the show at the Cellar with a friend last week. From our experience this is what I think the show. The show would be good for those . come with a big group of friends/family celebrating such as b-days . If you are willing to spend about $ 20 for each song request. The whole show was evolved around the people who paid the highest tips and making fun with the birthday groups. . If you are into or know the old school pop songs very well. It’s feel a big party but not much of a show… The singers were good at interacting with the audience and they knew a lot of songs. But it was just not our type of show… We left the show before it ended.

Very hot in there. Played typical bar music. Requested a song they called out and said they weren’t playing. Asked them to play something else and they gave me my money back. Seemed like they had the same list every bar has.

We loved this show! It seems some reviewers came with expectations that weren’t met I guess but my wife and I came out to BB King’s on 7÷31÷15 for a good time and we got much more than we imagined. While the music is excellent, you really come to a show like this for the fun and laughs that come from audience interaction. It is NOT a serious attempt to play songs as well as possible. There are sing-alongs, audience members up on stage, prizes(shots) awarded to winners of various contests, etc. The show I saw started at 10:30pm allowing for a very leisurely dinner nearby as opposed to the typical pre-theater hurried meal. I definitely will plan a return visit and bring a group of friends.

Dueling Pianos’ Mark and Brad are not just rockstars; they are superstars… We had them at a private party for about 150… They didn’t just play the show… they created the show — gracefully flowing from background music to sing-a-longs with comedic highlights. I would definitely have any of the Dueling Pianos crew do an event because I know the entire team is consistent in approach and talent.

I am going to go ahead and make a very bold declaritive statement because I really mean every single word. Aside from marrying my husband of course, hiring Shake Rattle & Roll Pianos to play at my wedding was the best decision I made in my life!!! These guys left my wedding guests and myself in complete awe regarding thier level of professionalism, talent, and level of entertainment. I luckily came across them through when looking for a wedding band and I immediately took interest because we wanted to have something unique and not a standard wedding dj/band. After looking them up on Youtube and talking with Mark personally, he invited me out to see one of thier shows in NYC. Seeing them live said it all — we knew that we were going to have the most unique, fun, memorable, BEST wedding entertainment we could ever imagine. And so it was, our wedding day featuring Shake Rattle and Roll Pianos was absolutely incredible! These guys know over 5,000 songs and they can play any request under the sun — my guests had so much fun requesting thier favorite tunes and dancing the night away. Mark was a super MC and had the perfect flow of energy through out the night. I am one lucky girl that I found Shake Rattle & Roll to play at my wedding — and you will too. If I could give them a million stars I would, great talent deserves great recognition. Thank you guys for making our wedding day legendary… million thanks and will always have them on speed dial if another party is on the horizon.

I originally came here on a groupon a few weeks ago with my boyfriend. I had been to a dueling piano bar in New Orleans and loved it so of course I needed to come to one in my hometown. This was so much fun that I brought my friend back this past Saturday night. Mark sat us right up front and we had the best time. Not sure what some reviewers expect but paying money to hear your song played is what a dueling piano bar is. Mark you are awesome and can’t wait to come back again. If you would like to do something besides the typical bar scene on a Saturday night this is definitley the place to go to enjoy a night out with your husband, friend or even your mother.

So a couple things on my experience last night… I felt like the whole place was a giant scam. I’ve been to dueling piano bars before which I have LOVED but this one was a joke. They basically only played songs where people paid $ 20 at least and I felt like sometimes they were only playing songs because they wanted to not because people wrote them down. I was there for a good friend’s bachelorette party and it took them HOURS before even recognizing that she was there for her celebration. I also found the 2 pianists very obnoxious and inappropriate with their comments/actions. The one guy basically tricked my friend into kissing him on the lips! I know how bachelorette parties go and all of that but you can’t cross that line. She is about to get married and he violated her and took advantage of the situation. I found it very ridiculous that it was a part of their show. The show should be focused on the music and entertaining WITHTHEIRMUSIC. They shouldn’t have to compensate by adding all the other nonsense. If I were her I would have been completely turned off by that. Also a side note: the waiter last night(tall and bald white guy) was HORRIBLE and RUDE. He basically didn’t care that we were there for a celebration of our friend and when my other friend and I wanted just waters he was a complete asshole and took over an hour to get one for us. Just because we weren’t drinking doesn’t mean that you can just ignore our order completely. He also took forever to bring by everyone else’s drinks.

6 Stars! Saw them Friday at the Cellar. I came with low expectations and expected it to be chilled. But i was blown away by how these guys interacted with the crowd and made the whole experience really enjoyable! some people danced, some sat at their seats — but everyone was having an awesome time. I will most definitely go again

This place was awesome. I have been to several piano bars in Florida and these guys were so much better than most. They did not repeat a single song in four hours. I will be back so get ready Mark for Florida to return.

My girlfriends and I purchased a groupon for $ 15 and attended Saturday nights show. I was very disappointed to find that the pianos they use are keyboards. I have never been to a piano bar before but expected to have real pianos. This venue is also in a basement so the acoustics where really bad — it basically was a drunken money fest. The drinks were over-priced and the service was slow. The crowd was also very obnoxious. In order to get the piano players to play your song you have to write on a slip of paper your request and throw down money(most people were putting $ 20s). We just didn’t have that kind of money to throw around. The two male pianists were definitely talented musicians and knew tons of songs — but the crowd and the venue itself was a huge turnoff. We left early and don’t plan to return. I would only recommend going here if you have a ton of money to throw around and are ready to be obnoxious enough to get the show to revolve around you.

Saw them last night at Maggiano’s with Mark & Brad and had a really good time. I assume from other reviews, there are various performers who do the same show. I was actually a little apprehensive when my sister suggested it but I figured why not? I’m generally open to new things and experiences. The crowd was a bit older but I think that added quite a bit to the show which, as I assume you have read in other reviews, is highly reliant on audience participation. Others have mentioned the tipping that gives your song priority over another but again, it’s part of the entertainment and is in no way mandatory. Face facts, sadly there aren’t a whole lot of things to do in the evening that are, for lack of a better word, out of the box. Movies, shows, dinners, concerts are all great but every once in a while it’s nice to do something different, something memorable. This is certainly one of those things. Highly recommended.

We got married on May 4 at the Park Savoy in Florham Park NJ. If you know anything about NJ wedding venues, this is a very classy place. My husband and I LOVE going to Piano bars and seeing dueling pianos perform. Years before we got engaged I mentioned to him how I wanted to have a dueling piano wedding. So when we did get engaged and since I was living in NYC at the time, I googled dueling Piano and one weekend went to one of their shows. I actually booked to see a couple of Dueling Pianos guys before making my decision. And these guys were by far the best!!! We had never seen or heard of anyone doing this for a wedding before, but we knew from seeing them in NYC that this would be 10 times better than any DJ. We were honestly debating over doing the pianos or a band at one point, just because we thought having pianos could be risking(because we had never seen it at a wedding). We took the risk and went with the pianos because we didn’t want our wedding to be like every other wedding you go to in the NY/NJ area. We wanted something different and we wanted to give our guests a performance. We wanted our wedding to be memorable…“Remember that wedding that hired Dueling Pianos” because let’s be honest, when you get to the age of going to weddings all the time, they can be boring. It’s the same thing over and over again. Mark, the lead piano guy, is amazing to work with. He understood our concerns and kept making us feel that everything was going to be amazing. Just like a DJ or Band he announces your wedding party in the ballroom/dinner. He also announces your first dance, toasts, blessings, etc. So in that respect it is just like having a DJ or Band. What is better is that you get live music the whole night vs paying some guy to play his ipod… To make it even better, we requested a drummer(so we had two piano guys and a drummer). So that def stepped it up. They can sing any song!!! We got a lot of questions from friends that just didn’t understand how it was all going to work out, however looking back they loved it and realized how entertaining it was. Highly recommend these guys for a wedding or any event or just to drop in to a show one weekend. We have been twice and now when we have people come out of town, this is going to be one of our go to places in NYC to take people to. These guys are great and amazing to work with!!! Just to note, my sister reached out to them as she wanted a song to be played after she made her speech and he was so nice to take the time and work with her.
