Over priced, mediocre food served by self indulgent staff who are irratated you came in for lunch. Ordered the pretzels with mustard for an appetizer. What i got was bowl of Synders of Hanover with a ramican of French’s spicy brown mustard. Should have been free it was so cheap. I ordered the reuben for lunch. Soft, soggy bread, chewy meat, and again canned saurkraut. Not impressed, and no worth the money. We saw our waitress once dieting the meal. The place was empty except for us and another table. The one time we did see our waitress, I asked for more water. What i got was an icy stare for about 5 secconds then a mumbled response of «fine» and a roll of the eyes. Won’t be back anytime soon… well just make that anytime.

I haven’t experienced the food but I’m told it’s great. The drinks and folks there are very pleasant.

I’ve eaten here about 5 times with my wife for lunch. Every time we are here we are greeted right away and always with a smile. The food is great and normally doesn’t take very long to get. Today we ate here and ordered two sandwiches and an appetizer. We were brought two sandwiches but no appetizer and we had to ask them where it was. The guy who seemed to be the manager or owner immediately apologized, went to get our appetizer and told us he would take it off our check without us even asking him to. These guys really have great customer service!

A good solid sandwich can be had here. I used to visit here frequently as an undergrad in the early 2000’s, and I loved the mean green sandwich with turkey, avocado, and sprouts. I’m now back in the Manhattan area and was really looking forward to eating this sandwich, but when I came in, no longer on the menu! Was a little bummed to see it gone. the restaurant has a fun, funky vibe and everyone is so friendly. It’s definitely refreshing to be back in the Midwest! I will be back… and I’d love to see some avocado on the menu!

Had to try the hummus everyone raved about. It was real good but nothing super special. Best part was the warm pita. Had the chicken salad sandwich. Also good but a little skimpy on portion size. There was a lot of filler lettuce in my pita, but it was still yummy. Cool retro vibe.

Great service! Simple menu with mostly sandwiches. They were okay sandwiches, but nothing amazing. Think Jimmy Johns with full service bar and wild decorations.

The veggie sandwich is phenomenal! And I was introduced to summer beers here. This place has been here awhile, and for good reason. It’s an aggieville classic!

Atmosphere was fabulous! Very cool place, great music, great crowd. Service was friendly and prompt. The food, however, was nothing special. Everything tastes like it was straight off the Sysco truck or Sam’s Club. Nothing homemade, nothing original, and fairly pricey for run-of-the-mill food. I’d come here to drink, but not to eat.

Loved the atmosphere. There is an outside by the way and its nestled between buildings but quite nice. I had a veg sandwich under appetizer menu and it was the perfect size. The cream cheese wasn’t hopped on and the wheat bread was soft.

When I envisioned my job, I always figured it would take me to Manhattan. Just not Manhattan, Kansas. Although this journey was unexpected, it was made all the more pleasant thanks to my lunch visit to Rock-A-Belly(or RAB for the patrons) Bar & Deli. A good friend and KState alum recommended RAB, and threw out some menu recommendations to boot. I had the chicken salad on pita with a side of hummus. The pita was pretty delicate so I ended up using a fork to eat the contents, but the hummus more than made up for the mess. My favorite thing about Rock-A-Belly is hands down the atmosphere. Unabashedly eclectic, I couldn’t help but find myself playing«I Spy» alone while enjoying my meal. The clientele is comprised of college students, professors, and other locals, but they all seem united in their die-hard love for RAB.

Tasty food with good beer and an intimate atmosphere. A little on the expensive side for the quality/quantity, but I’ll be back when the time is right.

A clean bar that serves deli food? The wait staff was more attentive that at most formal restaurants I’ve been to, and the bean dip goes exceptionally well with beer. This place is exceptionally unique and I wish there was something like this near where I live. With free and reasonable wifi, this is definitely a good place to hang out and grab some eats while getting academic stuff done.

I was in Manhattan for AIB. My co-worker recommended this place and I wanted to try it out. The service was 5 star. I got the greet, asked right away for drink, ordered, food came super fast, drinks refilled without asking. I sat at the bar with a really nice older man who I talked to during my lunch. I ordered the Pastrami which was cooked nicely. Overall great experience, I can’t ask for better.

Great sandwiches. Great selection. Decent atmosphere, but the outdoor seating in the summer is also great. Plus, you can grab a lunch beer, which is usually an option if I have the time to get lunch at a deli anyway. We’ve been twice. I’ll definitely go again. Worth a drive into town.

I’ve never been here before but this place has a cool vibe. I felt like a sardine in the bar because of how packed it was! I’m not quite sure why it was so busy to be honest, but one of the girls in our group lived in manhattan for 4 years and said this bar was her all-time favorite! The bartenders were fast and the waitresses were patient when wading through the sea of people to serve their tables. We didn’t stay long, but I’m not sure if I’d make it a point to go back if I was in town again.

It is definitely«ok» and nothing more. As soon as I walked in, the hostess immediately asked me my drink order. I tried to get my bearings and let her know I this was my first visit as she was shooting questions at me. I just ordered water since I had no idea what, if any, the drink specials were. I also didn’t appreciate bring told to go to the back and left to find our seats outside. Again, I had never visited the establishment so how would I know where the outside seating is? I followed a server with her hands full and hoped I wasn’t following her to the kitchen. As for the food, the sandwich portion is incredibly small but quite tasty. I urge you to get a side dish. Not the bag of chips included with the sandwich but potato salad, etc…

I’m amazed how I have never ate here… even the 4 years I lived in Manhattan. It was just an afterthought, but after talking with a friend of where to eat… this was the one spot I never been to for sandwiches. RAB is best described as a small quaint place that is very spunky. I mean that by their décor, helpful wait staff, and atmosphere. Walking in, we were immediately greeted by the bartender to go sit at the only available booth. Our waitress came with a great smile and asked for our drink orders. Their menu is basic and easy enough to read that everything sounds good for all range of tastes you might have. I ordered the Western sandwich, and my friend had the Spicy. As for the bread, got the sourdough hoagie and as for my side item, the German potato salad. Once our food finally came out. it looked rather small. But what made it amazing was how big the taste was. It was extremely fresh, well put together, and the meat had a smokey taste to it. I could taste each individual ingredient and it melded well in my mouth. The German potato salad was good too. I didn’t have much expectation as I’ve never had the«German» equivalent to the regular kind I usually order from any place. Even the potatoes had a smokey flavor present in them. They were soft but solid. Their prices are a bit too high in my opinion. If they were 6 to 6.50 a sandwich, I think it would be a bit more reasonable. This place is definitely the best sandwich shop in the little apple.
