9 out of 10 times Ray’s is my first choice. The store is clean, have decent prices and awesome sales every once in a while. Customer service is good and they try really hard to open up more registers as needed. There has been once in a while when they are busy, some employees that are not very helpful in helping you look for stuff. However, most of the time they are extremely helpful and they don’t make you feel like you are bothering them. My last experience 2÷25÷15, was great. I couldn’t find stocked on shelves one of their advertised items. Even before I finish rolling my eyes, an employee approached me and ask what I was looking for. After I told him, he could’ve easily told me that whatever was out is what they had in stock since it was such a hot item. Instead he offered to look in the back and when he didn’t find it ANOTHER employee suggested to look at the new shipment that had not been unloaded from the truck. They found the item, notified me and restocked the shelves. This, to me, went above great customer service. I realize that this won’t always be the case, but it’s enough for me to make them my first choice almost every time.

Ray’s is always well stocked. It’s difficult to compete price wise with the big stores, but they do an excellent job, especially if you watch for their sales. With respect to freshness and quality, I love the produce section which is better than other grocery Stores, and same for the meat department which is the best in the area! For produce and meat, I go to Ray’s! They have excellent deli, salad, and main course bars. Their smoked BBQ ribs are especially good! Also, I don’t know where other reviewers are coming from as I find all of the staff are especially friendly and helpful. So, don’t believe the other reviewers … try Ray’s, you’ll like them!

A solid grocery store. Nothing more nothing less. Decent deli, decent salad bar, good meats and cheeses. Sales fairly often and good for a quick bite or your monthly shopping.

Clean and alot better than the original Ray’s on the east side of town. They will even help you load groceries into your car for free. They have different specials every day of the week. My fave is banana tuesdays 29cents/lb. Can’t beat that. They also have a coffee café that I will have to try one of these days.

Cashiers are RUDE and not friendly at all! I actually stopped going to Rays because the customer service was awful and the cashiers are never in a good mood. Wouldn’t you like to think someone who isn’t friendly or personable SHOULDNT be working in a grocery store? Sucks!

After shopping here several times and for different reasons(specific items, specific meals, or overall grocery shopping), I can confirm that every single visit, I have either purchased or almost purchased an item(or two or three) that was EXPIRED. I’m not talking about close to expiring or the clearance section. I’m talking fresh foods, refrigerated foods, frozen foods, can foods, and jar foods… you name it, and I guarantee you can find something on the shelves that has ALREADYEXPIRED. Sometimes by MONTHS. This is unacceptable. Customer service really saved the poor quality of fresh produce(actually never fresh, always soft or stale) and higher prices, but that cannot cover grossly expired products being sold throughout the store.

I always go to Ray’s when I need something. The prices are fair, services is good, and I can get in and out really fast. This is the ONLY place in a very long ways that sells Boar’s Head meats and cheeses which are more expensive then most deli meats but are the best I’ve had. Overall this is an excellent place to shop. Don’t go to Dillon’s it looks like puke in there.

I like Ray’s Apple Market for several reasons. It always seems like the store is kept clean which I find important for grocery stores. The produce section isn’t the best layout, however as some one who pretty much bypasses the organic produce, the layout allows for doing this without really missing anything that I am looking for. Ray’s generally has smaller portions available in the produce and meat sections, which is helpful for me, being some one without a family to feed. The meat department is full service during normal hours. On previous occasions I have done special orders at the meat and deli counters that were no extra cost, which I found nice. Ray’s does offer military and veteran discounts of 5%, which I also find to be a nice thing. My co-workers and I frequently go to Ray’s deli for lunch as they have the best fried chicken I have had in town. Other things are also good, such as the meat loaf, smoked ribs, and brisket. Deli prices are reasonable, with a 2 piece chicken dinner, 2 sides and a roll with a drink for around $ 8.
