I’ve came here twice (and a half) before. First time was to turn in a lost phone my father found on the streets. The front desk receptionist was nice and attentive. Got the job done and I was out. Second time was when I needed to report a stolen wallet and a female police officer took care of it. I was on my way up the stairs and she stopped me to asked if I needed something. I told her I wanted to report a stolen wallet so she told me to follow her. Very unprofessional about it and seemed like she hated her job. I was blamed for getting my wallet stolen and the woman seemed as if she didn’t want to deal with me when she was the one that offered to help me. A male officer wanted to assist (and he seemed as if he would genuinely be nice about it) but she said she would handle it. She constantly scoffed at me when I was answering her questions.
Yes she got the job handled, but don’t ever blame the victim for a crime. Victim blaming is disgusting especially coming from an officer. Returned the next day to get my case number for a replacement ID at the DMV and the receptionist was very friendly in assisting me and I was out in a few minutes (which explains the half visit).

Calling here is generally on the positive side. The first time, the lady answering was very nice and helped direct me well on the phone. The second time was a bit choppy. The girl sounded a bit curt (I could even hear her eyes roll) but still was able to answer the questions I posed to her. The police officer did not finish my report yet, so the first lady told me to call his office number and ask him to bring it to the front desk. I did. He’s a busy guy and so it took a few times to reach him but when I did reach him, he was actually extremely polite.
When I came to pick up my report, the front desk lady was really nice. She was handling more than one person’s requests at once, but still she maintained her good nature and friendly face.
This Precinct really put their best foot forward. Being in the professional service industry and a governmental professional service at that is extremely hard. I appreciate their strong efforts in providing at least this level of courteous behavior. It is not easy.
