Finally met with their recruiters. I have mixed feelings about that agency. We spoke about few job options but all of them were far away and I was not willing to relocate, since then never heard from them.

I was supposed to have a phone interview with James at 3:00 PM. It never happened. Incredibly unprofessional.

Positives:
–All of the recruiters at Michael Page are hard workers. I would get several calls a day from multiple people.
–They are quick to get everything started. You meet with them in their offices, and the next day, you will get calls about potential jobs. Great for getting the ball rolling.
Negatives:
–The recruiters are very pushy. One particular recruiter belittled me when I would decline her offers. It gave me a bad taste in my mouth and screamed of unprofessionalism.
–Several recruiters have called me without ever taking a look at my resume. This one particular girl had the gall to tell me that I was underqualified for an administrative assistant position because I lacked a degree in finance. Funny thing is, I have a B.S. in Finance and am one class away from finishing my MBA. Huge red flag.
–The recruiters tend to babble. What could be a quick ten minute phone conversation turns into a thirty minute lecture. «You don’t think this job is for you? Well, you’re obviously wrong!»
–You fill out paperwork when you first meet with MP. On that paperwork, you inform them of what positions you are most interested in, desired starting salary, and other caveats. Filling this out will be a waste of your time because none of the recruiters take your tastes and preferences into consideration.
Side Note: I have since switched to a different recruiting agency and my experience could not have been any better.

Waste of time. Spent the day at their office only to be told about all these great offers and never hear from them again, especially when your more then qualified for positions. My only question is what is the point of doing this if no one is gaining? I wish i read reviews before i wasted my time going to their office. its abvious the only 4 star review that is on here is fake

Not the best staffing agency. Does not follow up. She even asked me to call right after my phone screen. I called and left vm. Never got a response back like that was the end of it. I sent email and phone call but received no response. Guess once I’m out of the running for a position they don’t bother with anything else. Obviously there’s a responsibility in candidates to actually do well in the interview. But don’t say I’ll follow up or call me right after and not respond back. How unprofessional. Most staffing agencies are like this anyways and they are no different.

Pushy and «sharky»

If I could this agency less than one star I would so do. Where do I start? Rude and unprofessional. Never returns emails and phone calls. Completely unprofessional. I was dealing a recruiter there and she is just the worst. Then I had the privilege of dealing with her manager, and now I know why her employee is a complete arse. They repost old jobs and when you ask about it they just strug their shoulders. Stay away from this agency!!!

I love Micheal Page, I have been on their roster for at least 10 years. I have dealt with a few different head hunters (conversations and face to face meetings) over the years and they have always treated me well. They were very successful in selling me to hiring managers as well as treating me to power lunches selling companies to me after an offer was made and I wanted to decline. Talk about convincing! They were persistent, responsive and was able to secure a higher salary than I requested. I love the fact that they still contact me when roles become available. I have never used them for temporary staffing, career placement only. They are were my advocate at the negotiating table and my eyes and ears to «The Street» as better opportunities become available.

They are very pushy. They would come up with all sort of excuses to have you to come in their office to meet them in person to discuss «potential» opportunities. They ask you to to fill out an application that asks for your contact info, education, work history and references. BE VERY CAUTIOUS when you give them your references (especially if they are in management position with a prestigious company/​firm) because they would call them nonstop to sell their services to them.

This is by far the worst agency I’ve worked with. Lies and more lies. No follow ups and no phone calls. The ignore you and show no respect to their clients. There are other great places to get help finding a job. I hope they get out the Chrysler building. They don’t deserve to be there. They should relocate to the ghetto because that’s how they like to treat people.

I received an e-​mail from Jeff Kahn, a recruiter at Michael Page about a possible job opportunity. Jeff initially seemed very interested in learning a little but about my work and educational background. Towards the end of the call he asked me about compensation. I gave him what I thought was a reasonable figure for the position I would be going for when all of a sudden he remembered he had a meeting and said he would call me back. Needless to say, he didn’t call me back. If he had realized half way through the call I wasn’t a good fit he should have just said it. To say his approach was unprofessional would be an understatement. Two words for you Jeff, «common courtesy.»

I can’t complain about this agency. They are one of the better, more professional agencies that I have dealt with. After meeting with my recruiter she got me an interview for a company the next day. Within 3 days I had 2 interviews and was hired for a 6 month assignment.

Save your money by not going anywhere near Michael Page. They send out temps who have no idea what they are doing. I have been working as a CPA for 25 years and have never seen workers as bad as the ones coming from Michael Page.

Honestly, this is the best headhunting agency I’ve ever worked with so far, and I’ve tried a few in NYC. The recruiters here are really nice, personable, and really work to find the best jobs for you. They work diligently to get you interviews and will call as soon as they have leads to ask if you are interested, which I really appreciate! I really approve of this place!
