We arrived at 9:30am midweek and were promptly seated at a large, clean booth by a big window. Our waitress arrived at our table to take our beverage orders immediately. We had exceptionally good service all the way our stay. I ordered the 55+ «Create Your Own Omelette» with blend of cheddar and monterrey jack cheese which cost $ 4.79, plus I added spinach for an extra $ 0.99. The portion was larger than I had anticipated. It came with 2 buttermilk pancakes on the side. The only disappointment was that I asked for a side of salsa for the eggs. I was charged $ 1.19 for the salsa. I thought salsa was a condiment and was surprised when I saw the charge for a very small bowl of salsa. The omelette was very good with a touch of pancake batter to fluff up the eggs. Big and thick omelette with plenty of spinach wrapped all the way thru.

Arrived at 11:30, got seated at noon. We had a party of 10 though, so we expected that. Placed our orders, and got the drinks on time. The appetizer we ordered went to the wrong table originally, but we noticed it and called the waiter over with it. Waited an hour for our food to arrive. Sat and watched several tables get seated, eat, and leave before we saw our food. Our party had 3 toddlers, and anyone with kids knows it’s no easy task to entertain them that long at a table without food. Food arrived at about 1. We were missing parts of the orders like waffles, toast, and pancakes. Probably 10 or 15 minutes after that we all had our food sorted out. After eating, we waited another 15 minutes for our server to return so we could pay. The manager was good enough to give is 20% off our tickets. I’d love to say they were busy, but there were several empty tables, and I understand why now. Save yourself some time and drive 20 minutes to the IHOP in Junction City, we’ve never had an issue there.

We went on fathers day Sunday, I expected a long wait and for our food to take awhile but for the volume of people I’d say they were timely. I haven’t ate ihop in sometime because I do not live in Manhattan anymore, I was pleased that my meal was good and so was my husbands. I had the California scramble with potatoes and pancakes, my husband had crepes.

My wife and I went to this establishment this morning. After being seated we asked if we could go into the back room because a child was kicking the booth behind me. After moving to the back room(which was completely empty), we proceeded to sit there while the entire room filled up with people. Every group that was sat had a waitress or server take their drink orders. We were completely ignored. After approx 20 mins of us sitting there with our menus in our hand, and not being even acknowledged once, we walked out. Could not watch another newly seated group get orange juice and coffee while no one even talked to us.

Went to I hop for dinner and it took them forever to seat us. We were seated and ended up leaving because nobody came to our table after 10 min. Lots of standing around going on and when we left the manager was near the front door and did not acknowledge us as we left. We know that she knew we were the last couple that had been seated. Very disappointing!!!

I came here with very realistic(low) expectations. Even after reading the reviews I was thinking, it can’t be THAT bad. Food snobs do tend to post on here quite a bit and I’m not one. Wish I would’ve listened to the others. This place sucked. First off, it was very clean, so that was a nice plus. But the service was awful. I did get my drink right away, but no refills at all. The waitress brought my check out with the food like there was a rush. I think there were more servers than people during my entire visit. Food was typical ihop, not any worse than any other ihop I’ve been to. Just horrible service and a general feeling of depression from the employees. You could overlook this review and go anyway. You’ll just end up being the next bad review on Unilocal and have a few less dollars in your pocket.

Went to IHOP on 21 December for dinner, food was good as this IHOP is the only one that can actually make the meal my wife and I like correct. Service was good. My only Complaint was a employees husband was in there waiting for his wife to get off and every other word he said was a curse word and was extremely loud and obnoxious. This behavior in a family restaurant is completely unacceptable. If it wasn’t for that this visit would of been better. May have to wait and see if the atmosphere improves.

Had a horrible experience, doubt I’ll ever b back. First off I was sitting there for 30 min waiting for my food bcuz they gave it to smone else. Food was ok but when it came time for the check the waitress dropped my credit card & another associate was walking around asking if it was ours. Lastly when she finally finished with the transaction she threw the receipt book on the table and walked away. & I mean she actually chucked it, I just left as fast as I could.

I have been very disappointed with other restaurants since moving to Manhattan. I think a lot of restaurant staff in this town are college kids who don’t care about customer service and doing a good job. We have had horrible service at Chili’s, Applebee’s, and at Umi’s once. I expected the same treatment from IHOP, but this was not the case at all! I don’t remember the name of our waiter, but he gave us the absolute best service of any other restaurant in this town. I’m beyond pleased, and with this restaurant. This is only the second time we have been here and we will continue to go back!

I don’t care what anyone says. You can very seldom go wrong with IHOP. So food snobs… move along… you won’t want to read this review. There were five of us and we had a fabulous brunch here last Sunday and our server Emma was the BOMB! What a friendly, bright and happenin’ chick! It was also a very fun time. The place was packed and about ready to explode but they kept moving us in and out with finesse. I didn’t seem like we had to wait long at all to get a booth. I had a bacon omelette that had cheese and 6 slices of bacon in it, hash browns and wheat toast. Totally delicious. The girls had bacon burgers and one had fries the other onions rings. Since nothing was left on their plates, I assume everything was tasty. I couldn’t tell you what the other two had so I guess this isn’t such a great review. It was something breakfasty. We were in Manhattan and having a great time on a Sunday with all the hangovers, etc. It was a great way to end a fun evening at K-State the night before and IHOP really was the icing on the cake. Great service, tasty food and a GREAT value!

I just came from Los Angeles, land of bad service, and was optimistic that service was much better in Kansas. Every restaurant in the surrounding area had great service UNTIL I WENTTOTHISIHOP. As soon as we walked in the hostess and the cashier completely ignored us. No «hi», or «welcome to IHOP» or even a «how many in your party?» it wasn’t until another customer came in and informed the hostess that we were first, that the hostess finally said something. «we are already getting them a table!» it seemed like mostly college age students worked there and they all lack the basic mannerisms that are supposed to be required at an establishment such as this. 20 minutes later we got our table(partially cleared) from a flustered looking manager who looked like he was doing more work than anyone else in this establishment. Our server Crystal, was personable however she lacked focus. our food york abut 25 minutes to come, and we were never offered refills, condiments or even to take away some plates. When i asked her for a refill, she almost seemed shocked like i had the audacity to even ask her for one!(Nor did she offer anyone else in my party at the time if they might want one as well.) She never came back to check on us to see if we needed anything else, and I had to flag her down for the bill. She was socializing with another waitress, so no she was NOT busy with other tables at the time. When I finally got the bill, she stood over me watching how much I was going to tip her, SERIOUSLY! This place is way over rated. I will NOT come here again. There are a ton of mom and pop places here that have far superior service than this place. It is seriously crying out for a district manager to do a complete overhaul on the staff and their service. DISAPOINTED.

Tasty food, but took 15 minutes just to get our drinks: which were a water and coffee, by the way. Still waiting for our food as I write this and it’s been 25 minutes, and the restaurant is practically empty. Should not take this long for food.
