Holiday Inn Express & Suites Manhattan

Granted I just checked in today, however I have solid Brand Loyalty here and this is the nicest HIE Ive ever stayed at… the property is brand spanking new, the staff some of the most eelcoming and helpful Ive ever encountered. I cant imagine any serious problems coming up, but if they were to I get the impression this, staff would address them in a quickvand efficient means. Simply the best check in and first 12 hr experience Ive had in 15 years of HIE patronage

I stayed at this hotel last weekend (July 25^th) for one night. I chose this hotel above others because it was brand new (so clean) and offered a «free» hot breakfast. I was not disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy that comfortable bed as much as I would’ve liked because I kept waking up due to being uncomfortably hot.
The air in the room is motion activated. And while I applaud the holiday inn’s decision to be more environmentally friendly, I wish someone would have told us that the air would not keep running unless we were moving around in the room. Obviously when you sleep you aren’t moving around, and our room kept getting hot to the point that we kept waking up. It wasn’t until an hour and a half before our checkout (and my second conversation about the air with a hotel employee) that we learned they could switch the air to run continually at night. Just in time to not benefit from it at all.
The free breakfast was also very disappointing. We didn’t expect anything extravagant, but we certainly expected something better than we received. The only option for eggs was an imitation egg rubber-​like patty with cheese already melted all over it. For those who can’t have cheese, this was especially frustrating. It also didn’t taste very real… The only meat option was sausage (regular or turkey). Basically, the food that was there wasn’t great, and the options were lacking.
Lastly, I have to comment on how slow the wifi was for us. If you are using the hotel for business and need your computer, you may have issues.
