The store itself is great, tons of stuff and good prices. There are always great sales and coupons. However, a few of the cashiers (in particular an older women with pixie cut gray hair) are extremely grumpy and unhelpful. Most of the younger workers are really nice, but it depends.

I have had a few problems with unfriendly/attitudinal and untrained cashiers. Also, their system at checkout is archaic — there are no bar codes and the cashiers are supposed to remember if the items are on sale. I’ve been incorrectly charged for things numerous times. Their receipts are impossible to read and understand, so you have no idea what you’ve actually paid for what items. It makes it nearly impossible to check/prove if they’ve made a mistake. I wish there were a Michael’s in Manhattan — they have better prices, selection, and customer service by miles. I give two stars because they are basically the only big crafts store in town, if they had some competition I’m sure one star would have sufficed.
