I love to throw money away for no reason whatsoever. So of course, I loved this place. Plus the waitstaff was cute.

Very overpriced but highly convenient. Poor selection and in an odd crowded location. The museum makes up for the café by far. The architecture of the building definitely enhances the experience, but does not make up for it.

Way overpriced. A ham sandwich, medium coffee and pecan tart cost me $ 18! The coffee tasted like the beans were burnt and the sandwich was no different than one you would get from a street vendor. I know that museum food will be steeper but this was a plain rip off. The café itself is very tiny and awkward but it does boast a nice view.

It’s convenient to grab a bite at the museum, and nice views of Central park. That’s about all it has going for it. Overpriced, soggy sandwiches, nothing special, just boring food. It is also tinyyyyy and crowded. Avoid and eat elsewhere.

The museum café has a great location and interesting format, but the service was meh(cabernet is a red wine, not a white!) and there wasn’t nearly enough seating for a museum as popular as the Guggenheim.

Really tiny and awkwardly placed at the end of the Kandinsky exhibit. Not much of a selection – Illy coffee in paper cups, potato chips, biscotti and oddly, crème brule. There are not many chairs and since the exhibit empties people into the café, there was always groups of people standing around waiting for a seat. If you are famished after walking up and down the Guggenheim, this is a good place to grab a coffee but not much more.

The snacks and drinks are good but not enough seating… the view is nice enough but you’re stuck watching people jog in central park while stuffing your face with coffee and sweets.

Expensive food that doesn’t taste good, but at least it will prevent you from fainting… I had the Turkey Brie Croissant and it tasted like frozen cardboard, but I hadn’t eaten breakfast yet, so I was just looking for any source of energy at that point. Sigh. Wish I had gone ANYWHERE but here.

tiiiiiny servings and soooo overpriced, but they serve a captive audience. it was much better when in its old location(now the wright restaurant), and there is ZERO seating here. however, the current space is light-filled and the view is fantastic. bring your sunglasses if you must. but if you can wait, head to the«heavenly rest stop» inside the church of the heavenly rest(half a block away). no view, but seating indoors and out and the prices are less shocking.

Most museums in the city have a café /more offering coffee/tea and small bites or full fare, at a premium to surrounding spots but at a quality level commensurate with the museum’s reputation. I am disappointed to report that this isn’t so at the Guggenheim. The café is poky offering virtually no seating options(though the space could be better utilized to provide some), and the food is outrageously overpriced even for a museum(with already a fairly high entrance fee). A sandwich which was a third of a sub was $ 7.50, a small chocolate roll $ 3. The sub turned out to have a hair in it, which further didn’t help the experience of sitting on the floor leaning on a wall. The café at the MoMA is a 100 times better, you feel what you spend is worth it.
