3 of my kids go to Evolutionary Martial Arts. After watching how Mark (Sensei) conducts his classes, I even joined myself (I’m 40).
Mark is a very attentive, knowledgeable, patient, open-​minded and easy-​going individual/​instructor. His approach makes me feel adequate, engaged and excited to go to my classes and makes my kids love their karate classes. My oldest son didn’t like karate before (at another place), but loves it here.
I feel very fortunate to have found Evolutionary Martial Arts and would highly recommend it to others!

Amazing instructor, very professional and really awesome with the kids, all the kids just love him. Sensei Mark is very kind, most patient and extremely talented. He’s gifted in knowing and understand help meet all the kids needs no matter what they are. He show’s a lot of devotion especially to the children and there needs and I also love very much how the atmosphere at Evolutionary Martial Art’s is such a very close nit family oriented school. They also offer a wide rang of fun activities as well that all the kids along with there family and friends can enjoy together. So close to the Train’s as well, very safe, clean and friendly staff and location. This Karate school along side with its instructor are real hidden GEM’S!

My son, who is 6, has been taking karate at EMA for six months and is having a wonderful experience. The sensei, Mark, is amazing: patient but firm, intelligent, warm, and with a great sense of humor. The kids love him and also hugely respect him. The best thing about the class is, I think, how holistic it is: The sensei emphasizes ethics, and teaches the kids the importance of teamwork, mutual respect, and self-​discipline.
The only difficult thing: the classes are held in a fifth-​floor walk-​up, which can be exhausting.

Sensei Mark Tomé provides a well-​balanced program that mixes training, drills, and games. My son has been with Sensei Tomé for about one year and we have seen improvement in his strength, discipline, and focus. The student/​instructor ratio is very impressive, which ensures each child gets the proper attention.
