Digital shelf is one of the only two remaining video rental stores in town (Manhattan, KS), and deservedly so. Years after Blockbuster went bankrupt, Digital Shelf is still around. That is because their owner, Scott, wants to keep serving the Manhattan community, they have a loyal customer base, they have a great selection, very friendly staff, and good prices. Besides having all of the latest movies available on video, they have a great collection going back to at least the 70’s, and a lot of independent and foreign films. If they don’t have it, you will have a pretty hard time finding it even on the web. They are a great local business.

It’s kind of a hole in the wall shop but they have a great selection and the staff if friendly. Prices are not bad. The only cons next to Aggieville so rental on the weekend means you are dodging drunk college kids at times. Also we have called up their before and they just answer the phone saying «hello» which throws you off because you don’t know if you’re talking to a business or have the wrong number, anyway go here, it’s a good spot.

THE video rental spot in Manhattan. It looks a bit dingy, sure, but they have a massive selection (larger than it might first appear) and the staff really, really knows their stuff about movies. You can even usually just name an actor and a basic story line and they can identify the film. The prices are fair and it’s centrally located. It’s way better than Hasting’s or any other movie-rental option.

Digital Shelf is the place to go. Or at least it was when I lived there.
When I turned 18 I was totally excited that I was hired to work there and I worked there for 5 years.
I am not biased though (having worked there).
As a customer I liked how the staff talked to me and recommended movies and I liked the prices and as an employee I liked talking to our way cool customers and being a part of the environment all the time.
