This gym is great and Sean is definitely one of the best trainers out there. He is really motivational, corrects form and comes up with great workouts. I’ve done both the concrete bootcamp and the Hurt locker classes and it definitely is a great way to kick off my Sundays. I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking to get in shape and the camaraderie here is just awesome !

There’s great community at this Crossfit gym. Everyone is very kind and chatty which helps make the gym a less intimidating place. I am most of the way through a four week Gilt voucher which I would recommend to see if Crossfit is right for you. I just wish they had a few earlier morning classes on the week days and some later afternoon classes on the weekends. Be ready to do two weeks of On-Ramp classes if you’ve never done Crossfit. Jeff, the instructor was enjoyable though and made sure you had the correct form on most of the main moves incorporated into the classes. Great place to do Crossfit in the area if you’re looking for a box! They have a free trial class Saturdays at noon.

Community and coaching is what make a Crossfit gym special, and Crossfit Concrete Jungle has the best of both! I can do things I never thought I could do because the coaches have pushed me, but, at the same time, they encourage rest and mobility work so I’ve been injury-free since joining. CFCJ also offers bootcamp, olympic lifting, and mobility classes, which have helped me to become a more well-rounded athlete, and the owners/coaches are always open to new ideas for classes, class times, community events, and challenges from their members. When you work out here, you really feel like you’re part of something great. Sounds over-the-top, but when your gym adds this much value to your life, you get excited about it!

I don’t think I could ever truly put pen to paper to express how obsessed I am with Crossfit Concrete Jungle! I’ve been a huge fan of Ian and Sean for a long time, and now that they’ve added other coaches into the mix(including the awesome Chris Clyde) it’s gotten even better. Programming is really well thought out. Ian is laser focused on the mechanics behind it and his creativity really shines. There’s a method to his madness. He’s like the witch doctor of WOD& strength programs. And every single coach is just as great — all sticklers for form and ensuring safety at all times. Each has a unique personality. The space is brand new(obviously) and massive. There’s room for large WODs + full Bootcamp + mobility at the very same time. 5th floor means stair runs, which suck… but we’re Crossfitters and are trained to «embrace the suck», right? The sense of community is really what makes CFCJ stand out — both in/out of the box. Members love each other and are super friendly, welcoming & above all else supportive. Social events are member driven and there’s a push for community engagement. Happy members, happy coaches, fit/motivated people… awesomeness all around.
