One of the sorriest dog runs I have found so far in Manhattan. Things it has going for it: — Plenty of shade Things it has against it: — Unsafe, inadequate temporary fencing — Not kept up like most other runs on Manhattan — Needs to renovated — No water for dogs — No poop bags — Run is too small — Limited seating — Had wood chips but mostly dirt now… looks like they added straw for some reason I saw someone give this run 5 stars a few years ago. Either the run has gone down hill quickly since then, or that reviewer was smoking something the day he went to this run. I have been on a dog run/park tour and this is in my opinion is one of the worst Manhattan dog runs/parks that I have experienced so far. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. This run looks to be another quick fix for the city(see Coleman Square Park Dog Run). They simple threw some fencing up and called it a day. Residents and their dogs in this area deserve better than this. Dog runs/parks I have been to so far:

Corlears Hook Park Dog Run has separated big and small dog areas and is pretty big. They use bark instead of that weird gravel stuff in other NYC parks. The down side is that there is no running water provided to the park so BYO. The Park is fairly unknown, but is a very nice little park.
