Broadway’s Next Hit Musical

I saw their performance at Wake Forest University. I knew it would be funny but it was really hilarious. The MC does a great job interacting with the audience. The actors were amazing. They are true professionals who can really sing and be funny. The pianist does a good job playing music on the fly. I would see them again if they came to my area again.

I’ve seen this show twice now and will absolutely see it again when it tours again near me. The audience gives the performers suggestions of made up song titles. Several songs are performed, then the audience votes for their favorite one, from which the group then creates a full-​length improvised musical. How the group manages to harmonize with each other and remember the parts that they made up is just astounding. I guess I was such a nerd about it that I got the opportunity to have dinner with the cast after both shows (all AWESOME, incredibly friendly people!) and am now commissioning one of the co-​founders to come and workshop with my improv friends in my area. Seriously, go see this show. You will be AMAZED!

The audience creates song titles, the performers create a song based on that title. They take a vote for the best song, and then create an entire musical based on the one winning song! So great! See it See it See it!
