Andi & Richard – Coldwell Banker

Be careful about these guys. I know Andi just switched jobs but they are huge bait and switchers. I just moved up to the city and had a few days to find a place. Unfortunately they played games with me and tried to take advantage of the fact I just moved to the city.
— They were not upfront with their broker fee and pretended to need to speak to managers to get me a 10% broker fee.
— When I was in their office, they chose the apartments for me instead of letting me see pictures/​details.
— They pushed me to go above my budget range to ‘look and see’ how the apartments are. I tried to change my search criteria (to walkup vs doorman + elevator) and they declined to do so. Richard told me that ‘he knew what I wanted and I really wanted a doorman building’. I just wanted something in my budget and didn’t care about a doorman.
— I found one good apartment with Richard but it was on the upper limit of my budget and I felt uncomfortable. Richard kept pushing me to get the apartment saying that I could qualify for the apartment and he didn’t understand why I was trying to budget. He pressed me about 4 or 5 times to take the apartment, even though I didn’t feel comfortable spending over half my paycheck on the rent. He got visibly upset afterwards.
I went to Anchor Associates and found a broker who was wonderful and showed me over 20 apartments. He never mentioned anything about signing an application for an apartment until I felt ready. Andi and Richard only wanted to show me 4 apartments.

Andi recently helped me find an apartment on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Not only was he extremely professional and helpful, he made me feel as though he really cared about getting me into the apartment of my dreams. My budget was not very large and I can be a pain in the butt but he did not stop until he found me everything I was looking for. I worked with a couple of other brokers before I met Andi and I could instantly tell he knew exactly what he was doing. He has a charming personality and was a pleasure to work with. I highly reccomend him!!!

Working with Andi Muskaj was a wonderful experience. As an international student it was hard for me to find the perfect apartment in NYC with a particular budget but Andi helped me get through this, he took the time to show me many options in order for me to find something that suits me the best.
During the whole process, Andi was really understanding, full of energy and know the market and landlords inside and out.
