Alyaa Elassar, MD – New York City IVF

Dr Elassar is amazing. I went to her because of her great Unilocal reviews and wasn’t disappointed. She is very warm and approachable and never rushes the visits. She was very focused on getting me pregnant and we succeeded on the second try. She always answered emails and called back, even out of office hours.
If you are looking for a focused fertility doctor who will take care of you the whole way, this is the doctor you need. Unlike other clinics where you see a different Doctor each time, Dr Elassar does everything herself, even draws the blood. The receptionist is also good. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is trying to get pregnant. I would go back to her in a heartbeat. I’m going to miss my visits with her and hope to go back soon to show her my big tummy! I wish she could be my obgyn!

Dr Elassar is literally the best doctor you will ever meet. I came to her from RMA in need of a more personal experience. I got this and more. She has an amazing personality, is kind and caring and truly loves what she does. She sees you at every visit. She spends lots to time with you, listens to all your concerns and never makes you feel rushed. She personally does every ultrasound and/​or blood draw, calls you with the results and checks up on you after procedures. She is available for you ²⁴⁄₇.
Dr Elassar is also extremely knowledgeable. She never gives up hope and is your biggest cheerleader. Going through fertility treatments is one of the hardest things I have had to do. Dr Elassar really helped me through it all. In New York City, there are a lot of qualified fertility doctors, however what makes a big difference is having someone so compassionate, caring and sympathetic to your emotional state. Finding someone that is very qualified and with her personality is a rare find. I cannot recommend Dr Elassar enough! I am so happy that I was able to get pregnant because of her. My only wish is that she could be my OBGYN.

I was referred to Dr. Elassar by my OBGYN and I couldn’t be more pleased! I went into this process with little to no knowledge about the female reproductive system (embarrassingly), but Dr. Elassar took the time to walk me through each and every step in detail. Not only did she write down clear instructions after every visit, but she also took the time to call me and make sure I was doing OK. One night she even walked me through exactly how to administer a shot over the phone. I ended up doing IVF and was very relieved/​thankful to become pregnant on the first try! As happy as I am to be pregnant, I was sad to leave Dr. Elassar’s care. My husband and I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Elassar. She is exactly the kind of person you’d want guiding you through this process. Also, Tahira at the front desk is an absolute pleasure

I was referred to Dr. Elassar by my best friend. Thanks to her, I did not need to do any homework and still be able to find such a warm and caring doctor. She always calls me to check on me during the entire process. Basically, she genuinely cares about her patients. During the visits, I was always welcomed with a sweet smile and a warm hug. The process was a smooth one for me. I will recommend Dr. Elyssar to every woman who needs some help getting pregnant.

I had the most incredible experience with Dr. Elassar and her practice. Her team, including her are incredibly professional, responsive and compassionate. Seeing Dr. Elassar for the past few months has been a wonderful experience. She is well educated, smart, caring and incredibly easy to get in touch with. I have never had a doctor that makes themselves as available as she did.

Well, what can I say that the other reviewers have not already said? To echo their sentiments, Dr. Elassar is a wonderful doctor. She’s conscientious, dedicated, personable, sincere, passionate about her work, and most important, a top expert in her specialty.
In terms of the office and staff, it is a beautiful office, privately situated off of 1^st Ave. The admin woman, Tihira, is literally the most professional and nicest medical office assistant I have ever encountered. What’s more impressive is that everyone in the office is supportive and helpful. The other doctor in the practice regularly would run my credit card or show me to the exam room if he saw me waiting around. He even went to check on a fax for me on my first visit despite the fact that I wasn’t even his patient!
Fertility treatments are never easy. They are time consuming and emotionally taxing, but Dr. Elassar will make the process as easy as possible for you and will help as much as she can every step of the way. She is always accessible by phone or email to answer your questions.
I came to NYC IVF as a refugee from Cornell-​Weil. My only regret in this process is not going to Dr. Elassar first as I’m now pregnant with my first child.

I had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Elassar. One of the many benefits of being her patient is that you can always expect to see her during your exams as opposed to another doctor or a nurse practitioner which is common in larger practices. When expecting phone calls on updates or lab results you can count on her to get back to you immediately.
From the moment I met Dr. Elassar I was very impressed by how thorough, kind, and patient she was while obtaining the necessary information to help diagnose my situation. During each treatment, she explained the procedure to me in explicit detail until I felt I understood my responsibilities (such as how to take the medicine) and consistently checked up on me. She was always honest and gave us excellent guidance in choosing the best option for conceiving a baby. We are thrilled to have recently found out that we are expecting! I feel extremely lucky to have been a patient of Dr. Elassar and would highly recommend her.

Quite honestly the best doctor I’ve ever had! Dr. Elassar is meticulous, smart, passionate and caring. At first I thought this process was going to be doom and gloom (based on my friends experiences with infertility) but she was amazing and focused and guided me and my husband through. I just wish she could be our obstetrician… we need one now thanks to her!

Dr. Elassar is a very competitive and compassionate doctor. My wife and I were very pleased under her care. She is simply the best doctor we’ve ever met. Thanks to her, we’re expecting twins.
