So happy to find a take-out type place with really good Baja fish tacos. Stoked! Good salsas. Their hot sauce has some kick.

Rubio’s has good solid surf-Mex food. This particular location always seems to be kind of dirty inside. They could do a much better job of keeping the dining area in order.

Rebecca, your right, the shrimp and bacon burrito hit the spot and no; it wasn’t to spicy so thank you for the recommendation. The folks here have a great attitude and Rebecca was all smiles. Try the shrimp burrito, you’ll feel strangely healthy after eating; not sure how that works but it’s true, no one flavor was overwhelming; it all blended very well. Dip your stuff in the chipoltle salsa; just don’t do it at the bar; it’s bad manners. Spot is well kept and you can eat on actual plates with actual silverware… FANCY! No wait for me; I beat the rush of the mom’s and their kids… they must know something us non-parents don’t know.

All I can say is that it’s nice and spacious. This is the largest Rubio’s I’ve seen. The employee’s here are so overly friendly. And so informative. They had a little salsa bar with 4 different salsa’s. They have bottled drinks as well as fountain drinks. This place is very clean. I didn’t see one single dirty table. As soon as one person left they were right there cleaning up. I got the Chipotle Orange Salad which was a bit too spicy for me but very tasty. I thought I was biting into a red bell pepper but it happened to be a red pepper and boy did that burn. We had fish tacos too which were excellent. Food was nice and fresh. Nice big parking lot with ample parking.

I will admit in LA and the south bay there are better overall quality mexican places, but Rubios is my go to for a bean and cheese burrito. It’s just simple, nothing fancy. I always get the kids meal too because it comes with chips and a mini churro. The 4 is solely based on this one meal because it’s all I get haha.

The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was clean. It also wasn’t very crowded at all. That usually scares me on a Friday afternoon. The staff were nice and friendly. I just ordered 1 especial taco. It was very good. Plenty of fish and it was cooked very well. It was a little messy. I bring that up because if you didn’t get your napkin when you ordered, you aren’t getting one. I was brought my taco and that’s it. No napkin, no napkins on table either. It was odd. Overall it was a nice place to eat. And I didn’t feel bad walking away, like I had a little health in the meal. Not to much with the deep fried fish, but a little.

Ordering a coastal trio, which includes you guessed it, 3 tacos, means I should get what I ordered. Driving home in traffic and opening my container I notice a disconnect. To my surprise, what did I get? A two fish taco plate. Ruh roh! How do you mess that up? I got two fish tacos on a day when tacos are $ 2. So I’ve been had a couple of dollars. Sorry, you’ve lost business.

Really great coastal trio taco dinner. Their smoky Chipotle salsa is good enough to drink. Also they sell their salsas in large containers; enough for a party. The quality of the food is consistently excellent. A great value, nice décor, friendly counter staff, efficient service, a good value. What’s not to like.

Great place for taco Tuesday. Their fish taco is one of my favorites and their Coke in a bottle is ice cold. What more could you ask? It’s a dollar fifty. Downside is, the place is lined out the door on weekends and in spite of this, the owner lets his 2 of 3 registers remain closed while you sit for 30 min on a taco. Waste of time.

I love this place. The people are so friendly and they have great tacos! One of my favorite taco places in the South Bay area.

For a fast food chain, the food here is surprisingly fresh, yummy and healthy. Shrimp actually looks like shrimp(not mini shrimp or misc bits chopped up into mystery meat) and tastes like shrimp(no thawed of watery shrimp sponges). Same with the salmon, the beef, etc. The ingredients are quality, tasty and affordable. The salsa bar has great salsa fresca and terrific jalapeños with pickled carrots. My favorites are the salmon burrito, the shrimp tacos and the fish tacos. My toddler likes the food too so that’s a plus. Kid friendly setup and relaxed atmosphere. $ 1.50 fish tacos on Taco Tuesdays. Their birthday club is awesome. Free burrito!

This is the biggest Rubios I’ve ever been to! They even have surfboards as a bench while you sit and wait for your order. My son and I were actually happy they were so close to the register because our legs were sore from our workout, therefore, leaving a shorter distance for us to walk for seating. Score! LoL But besides all of the other stuff… I come to Rubios for their Fried Fish Tacos. They are the best!

This is our local Rubios and it’s not something I might review because it’s kinda of fast food. But, two things jumped out today. First, our order was a bit late and Tony came over and delivered it with free chips and guacamole!!! Fantastic service!!! Next I had the grilled veggie and balsamic salad with chicken it deserves 6 stars! Light heathy and perfect for lunch. Good parking and better service! I’m a fan!

Oh no, what happened to this place? Hate to do this since I’ve been a customer here on and off since circa 2000, but I’m going to have to knock it down to three stars. I went in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the experience left something to be desired. It took about 15 minutes to get my order, and the side order of beans was cold. That leads me to believe that my order was sitting there for awhile waiting to be picked up. That, or they just don’t care and serve cold food. Either way, some sort of systems breakdown going on. Also, my shrimp burrito was not the same as I’ve had in other locations, and the hot salsa almost had a sweet flavor to it. Yuck Add to that the abundance of douchebag, outsider new money Manhattan Beach parents in there, and I recommend you drive another 2 miles north and go to the Rubio’s in El Segundo. At least until this location works its kinks out.

Love Rubio’s! Great service here, join the email club to get coupons and a free meal on your birthday! One of the best salsa bars around, I always stock up, green is best. I have treid almost everything on their menu and am obsessed with the balsamic roasted veggie salad and add salmon, it is just too good! Portions are small/prices a bit higher than I would like, but the taste is always spot on. My husband loves the steak tacos with bacon, really different than anything else on the menu and is what keeps me getting to go back here, wish they had it in a burrito. One of my favorite chains, super clean location, all good here!

The beer battered fish burrito was delicious. Wrapped in a flour tortilla, the crust on the fish gives a satisfying crunch with every bite. The guacamole does its job complimenting the blended flavors of black beans, shredded cabbage, cilantro, onions, white sauce and mild salsa. Returned it to nix the sour cream. Service with a smile. Very busy and awkward parking lot. There are more spaces on the side and around back of the street-facing strip mall which Rubio’s sits to the side of. Inside you’ll find a rectangle layout. Walk in the door and the order counter greets you straight ahead. Seating is to the right of that. They have tall and standard height tables and chairs to meet your needs. Crowded during the workweek lunch hours. Don’t forget to visit the salsa bar. Burritos, tacos, enchiladas and salads to satisfy your craving for shrimp and fish/seafood in this style. They serve chicken and steak too, but haven’t touched the stuff here.

WHATHAPPENEDTOTHISPLACE?! fresh mexican grill? i think NOT!(not anymore) rubios always had the best fish tacos especially on tuesdays when the tacos were only $ 1.50 after 3pm. i recently visited and our meal was DISGUSTING! it wasn’t even fish tacos anymore, it was just OVERCOOKEDBATTEREDWITHNOFISHATALL!(pictures are provided) i was so disappointed with our meal. we spent around $ 15 for two meals and it did not satisfy my boyfriend and i. i had my tacos re-made after showing the worker my overly battered fish and when i got a new order, it was exactly the same. the quality got BAAAAD. wish i could have asked for my money back. i ordered the fish taco plate with avocado and corn($ 7.29) that came with some beans and chips. HORRIBLE. PLEASEDONOTORDERTHIS. i don’t know if it’s this location or everything has gone bad. my boyfriend ordered the coastal taco trio($ 8.99) that came with an original fish taco, salsa verde shrimp taco, and blackened tilapia. he said he was just grossed out with everything. the only reason for my 2 stars is mostly for the salsa bar. the salsa here is very tasty and it’s more of a thick paste than a watery salsa. this may be my last time coming to any rubios. so much for«fresh» mexican food.
