We dined here for the first time. Spacious seating area both indoors & on patio. Service was prompt & courteous. I had lentil soup & the special peach salad. We had spanikopita for appetizer. Bread was nice & warm. For dessert we had baklava. All 4 of us were very pleased. The food was authentic & delicious. And noise level was moderate.

We come for every occasion as it’s a bit expensive, but we love it! We always get the moussaka. It was better than any I had in Greece! We’ve had great food, appetizers and wine. The customer service is usually great too. Enjoy a nice night and sit outdoors, it’s a better ambiance!

Not bad. Not great. Very middle of the road. This place will survive indefinitely just because of the location alone, but unless you’re craving overpriced Greek food you’d probably be better off elsewhere. The watermelon salad is fine, especially on a hot day, but there’s nothing special about it. The same can be said about the lamb pizza. It’s pretty good! Just not as good as you think it might be. Oh well.

After 10+ years, I still find Petros a consistently great meal! Last night we had the Greek caesar and super salad. I preferred the Caesar because the super salad dressing was a red wine vinegar and I tend to like more of a traditional Greek style dressing, but both were tasty. For apps, we had the spanakopita, meatballs and calamari. Calamari was my fave with the traditional spanakopita coming in second, thanks to the fact the recipe is very traditional. The meatballs were tasty, I just felt like they were more of a meal due to the portion of mashed potatoes they came with, hill but they were very good. They were beefy with a brown gravy. Then we had the giant shrimp pasta, which was very good. It was garlicky, lemony and had huge shrimp! The lamb portion was also really solid. We also had the stuffed chicken. Chicken is one of those things I avoid at restaurants because I think it will be boring but it was great — very flavorful thanks to the feta stuffing! As always, I left full and always happy to plan a return.

My girlfriend took me here once as a Birthday gift, and man… it was amazing. We both got drinks, she got some fruity cocktail(can’t recall which) that was tasty, and I got the grape cocktail, which was excellent and fairly strong. The service was attentive, everything from the starter breads to the main course was stellar. The chicken I ordered was stuffed with cheese and herbs under the skin, which in and of itself was deliciously fried and seasoned. The meat was tender, and there was enough that I had to take some home. Only downside is that it’s out of my «weekly outing» budget in terms of price. Otherwise I’d be back here regularly.

Service quality was awful. They took order completely wrong. Then took them forever to give us utensils when our food was already on the table… had to ask for water 4 times. AWFULSERVICE from Waitstaff!

My family had reservations for 5:30PM on Mother’s Day. We weren’t seated for about 15 minutes, which happens, I get it. But once we were seated, it took over 15 minutes to get the complimentary bread and our ordered drinks, and around 30 minutes to get our appetizers that we ordered with the drinks. Our entrée order wasn’t even in until after. The waitress was extremely overwhelmed, but we realized this wasn’t her fault. As a silver lining they gave us our appetizers complementary as well as our desserts, but we were still there close to two hours because of the slow service. As a business that’s been in the area for a relatively decent amount of time, I was expecting a lot better service, especially on a special occasion evening.

Had the takeout at a friend’s house and it was wonderful… some type of seasoned chicken and octopus. Decided to check out the restaurant and was not as impressed. The chicken was dry and the service was poor. Our waiter left halfway through the shift without telling us. It was confusing. To top it off, our leftovers were packaged incorrectly and my vegetarian friend received my meat dish. It wasn’t worth the money. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

This is my go-to place to meet up with my best friend who lives in Huntington Beach(sort of the halfway point for us) and after coming here at least 15 times I’ve never been anything but pleased. First, I never order chicken at restaurants because it’s something that I can make at home, but their roasted chicken the best I’ve ever had! It’s half chicken stuffed with epirus feta and mixed herbs served with roasted potatoes, romano beans, sprinkled with fresh lemon juice and oregano. All their more traditional Greek plates are amazing, it’s sooo hard to choose what to order because everything here is AMAZING! For dessert I always share TWO — Strawberry Mille Feuilles which is fresh strawberries layered with homemade ice cream, whipped cream and nut-encrusted phyllo(think a Greek-style strawberry shortcake) and either the chocolate layer cake or the Greek donuts. Great food and a casual beachy vibe is my ideal place to eat and this is my #1 favorite Greek restaurant and on my short list of all-around best places!

EXCELLENT service. Everything ordered was delicious, especially the vegetarian options! My favorite menu item: their blueberry mojito. It was perfectly refreshing and pretty strong to be honest but I aint complaining.

Petros, located in a center of Manhattan Beach outdoor Plaza is perfect for lunch and dinner with or without kids. The food is delicious, the stuff is very friendly. My favorite, the octopus, watermelon salad, lamb pizza, and the LOUKOUMA are to die for.

This place stinks, sorry. I will never come back here – it’s beyond overpriced and the food is mediocre, at best. It’s really a scam how this place is still around. Sad.

It’s good food, but not for what it costs. I understand because of the location they jack ip their prices, but it’s just not that great. The portions are fairly decent, so that makes up for the price in a way. It’s still not worth 4 or 5 stars. Everyone at my table enjoyed their food from What it seemed. We were mostly enjoying the company, so the food didn’t make a difference. However, the service did. We had like 4 or 5 people serving us. Our initial server, who took our orders, disappeared for the rest of the night without saying a peep. I had to ask for the bill from 3 different people before it finally got there 15 minutes later. I doubt that this happens often there though. It seems like they are pretty on point with their service. It just happened to be a little jumbled. As we left, we saw our server getting into an Über. It appeared his shift had ended. Totally cool, but let your tables know! Anyhow, unlikely I will go back unless it’s for a Birthday or something where I have no choice

Well, this place has gone downhill pretty badly. First bad sign: how can a Greek restaurant mess up a Greek salad? We only got avocado and cucumber. What happened to the olives, feta cheese and tomatoes? Calamari taste like wood. There was a drizzle mystery sauce on top; are we at Benihana? So…lamb Sovoulaki. It should be relatively safe; but nope. The portions were very small, leading to the meat being easily overdone and bitter tasting. I am afraid only the fries were palatable. What happened here; it used to be good a year ago?

It’s all Greek To Me. I don’t understand it. I don’t understand this restaurants’s popularity. We ordered three items: 1) Lamb: It was bland. Lamb should not be gamey, but it should have a distinct and clear flavor. This lamb did not. The sauce that it was served with was good though. 2) White Fish Special of the day: a bland entrée once again. All the chef did was grill it and pour some olive oil over it. Wow, a regular Chef Boyardee on our hands. I couldn’t imagine doing that myself in my own kitchen. 3) Grilled chicken kabobs: decent. But, here’s a little secret they may or may not want you to know. You can get the same dish at their more casual eatery in El Segundo. Final comments: it was very expensive and not worth the price of admission. Frankly, I wanted to throw a plate on the floor and yell opa!

This is a regular favorite for us. My favorites are Petros Horiatiki salad, avgolemono soup(lemon chicken soup with rice), or anyone of their daily special grilled fish. My best friend and her hubby came to visit us over the weekend so we came here for dinner. My girlfriend got their pork chop, I got their Chilean sea bass(made with a white cream sauce with capers), the the husbands got the lamb and my step daughter got shrimp and chicken souvlaki(kebobs). We usually would start with calamari or spanakopita when the Mr and I come. But this time we decided to try something new so we got their octopus. My girlfriend loved it! I’m pretty unhealthy so this grilled octopus was just okay for me. I prefer the calamari. They have affogato for desserts but unfortunately they would already pour the espresso into the cup before they bring it to you. My favorite has always been the baklava. But this time I tried the donuts(they were bland on the inside — not sweet like a regular donut hole) but I guess that’s why it’s drizzled with honey on the outside? We also tried the bougatsa(cream wrapped with phyllo) it was a huge hit!!! My step daughter got their chocolate mousse and it was a good portion and she finished most of it and said it was good. We always like to sit outside(for lunch or dinner), as I think the ambience is much more lively and chill.

Hopa & Kalimera! An actual Greek restaurant that has the authentic spices and flavors we Mediterranean persons know and… love…well…a part of being Mediterranean is being«self hating» :-P but self-criticism(amongst Greeks, or other ethnicities/nationalities) aside, this place is a certain 5⁄5 for food, service, and atmosphere. What more do you want? My dear compatriot from the low lands, Stella, was not on tab but my awesome neighbor Heineken was bottled up and ready to please. The mezze plate(mezze meaning appetizers, and usually a variety of items) was a hit. We also loved the ahi cucumber rolls were a great fusion of Japanese idea with Greek flavoring. The octopus was probably the best I’ve had in too many years, though a bit over-charred. This wasn’t very bad at first but… Of the three fish dinners ordered, it seemed all three were overcooked. I understand that there are health code requirements(length of time cooked, ect) but 3⁄3 fish/shrimp items overcooked was too much. It was flavored/spiced fine, but the kitchen needs a memo… dont overcook and dont use high heat on fish. Everything did taste great other than that, and service was good. The indoor bar area seemed small and a bit cheesy-ish but thats what the outdoor patio is for. There doesn’t seem to be much of a dress-code issue there either. All in all, a likeable place. To find it, walk into the mini-strip mall looking zone and its next to the«Lemonade» place. You wont see it from the street but from the inner courtyard, you cant miss. Its across from Nicks.

Just had my birthday dinner here with 10 of my friends. We sat outside and it was appropriate because we can get pretty loud. I was in charge of ordering appetizers for everyone. The Octopus and Calamari weren’t that great… and too expensive for the small portions($ 12 for calamari and $ 16 for octopus). Some of the dips were good including Melizanosalata(roasted eggplant). Everybody ordered their own main dishes. Had a bite of the sea bass… didn’t care for the lemon caper wine sauce. I got the Giant Shrimp pasta and it was average. My friend ordered the special of the day Chicken Pasta dish… which was okay. For desserts we got the Greek Donuts, Strawberry Mille Feuilles and 5 layer chocolate cake. I don’t remember anything being spectacular. We brought our own wine… about 6 bottles with $ 25 corkage fee each. Our bill for the night was about $ 600. I had a great time because my birthday was spent with my closest friends. However I don’t particularly remember much about the food. The service was great… we had two waitresses that helped us the entire night. Plenty of metered parking downstairs.
