I highly recommend Dr. Yigal Zibari and the entire staff at Manhattan Beach Endocontics.
I was out of town in Chicago and had a toothache that was excruciating for approx 4 — 5 days. I was also experiencing numbness in my lower right jaw which felt like the feeling you get when novocaine is wearing off. I decided to wait until I got back to California as I thought I needed a root canal and didn’t want to start the procedure in Chicago and then finish it in Los Angeles.
When I got back in town, I contacted Manhattan Beach Endodontics and they were was able to fit me in that day even though the appointment ran into their lunch hour.
I immediately noticed how peaceful and clean the office was. The staff was very friendly and professional. Dr Zibari determined that I needed a root canal. He explained that the numbness meant that the infection had involved the root of the tooth and that it might never completely go away. He patiently explained every step of the root canal process.
During the root canal, he was very gentle and continually asked if I was doing okay. I felt completely at ease with him and felt very relaxed during the procedure.
Dr. Zibari had me wait two weeks to finish the root canal to make sure that the infection had cleared up. Luckily, it had and the numbness had subsided substantially. He finished the root canal and placed a filling in the hole, which was great as some Endodontists have you go to a dentist to do that part.
Let’s face it, no one wants to have a root canal. But I’ve got to say that it was so much easier than I thought it would be and that’s due to Dr. Zibari’s gentle touch and reassuring nature.

It doesn’t get any better than Dr. Zibari! What an expert! I went to four other dentists who told me I had to get the tooth extracted. A new implant and a bridge would’ve run me around 8,000 dollars! He also said the tooth was dead
But Dr. Zibari was going to try and find the buried root. He did, and it was painless, he was fast, totally professional and quite humble! I will send all my friends to him! He didn’t leave my billing info up to his staff to let me know exactly what it would cost. He pulled up what my insurance would pay and my responsibility. I spent
a whopping 165 dollars! I still can’t believe it! He was recommended highly by my wonderful and beautiful regular dentist, Dr. Ho, and Steve Horowitz, my Periodontist. They are the most honest and caring dental practioners I’ve ever encountered. Between the three of them your teeth and your pocket books will be very happy. I am!
