My dad picked up some dinner tonight and he has had better food in a POW camp. This place has really gone to hell. Wonton soup tasted like salty water, the triple delight was more like a triple disappointment which is going to eventually turn into a triple bypass. The«beef» was inedible and unidentifiable. Seafood soup was terrible, tasted like they might have spilled some dish water. The only thing they got right was the rice… but who can mess up rice. Won’t ever be going back here.

Totally enjoy this chinese restaurant. Hands down. Prices are reasonable. Staff is nice. Food is always fresh and tasty. Lunch specials available. Dine in or take out. Definitely give them a tey the next time you crave chinese.

We always order to go right before close for this restaurant. Everything has always been fresh and hot. I have tried various dishes to see if this is consistent. All were fantastic.

Spring rolls were okay. Orange chicken was dark meat not white meat and tasted rubbery and not like orange at all. Rice was very bland. Dumplings were very doughy.

I was looking forward to having a poo poo platter. I have not had one in years. The beef teriyaki was like dry beef jerky. The chicken wings were like they were cooked two hour before and reheated The fried shrimp was bland and the shrimp was very very small. The egg roll was just awful. The fried wontons were the only edible food in the whole dish. Very disappointed!!!

Went for lunch. Disappointed. Although my lemon chicken was acceptable, my wife experienced inedible mandarin chicken. I had to agree it was dry, tough, and unappetizing. The waitress asked how everything was and was told about the mandarin chicken but chose to ignore our complaint. My wife left about 75% of her meal untouched. We were charged the full amount. We will not return.

Love Sesame Inn! Delicious food and very friendly staff. Dress casual, kid friendly and affordable. My favorite dish is general tso chicken. My son’s favorite is the duck! Yummy. Must go.

Ordered take out… terrible. Didn’t enjoy anything. We were a party of 4 and everyone thought the food was plain to mediocre at best.

If you want take-out Chinese this is the best the northshore has to offer. Very generous portions.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times now. It used to be pretty good. I’m hoping I just came on an off night or something because the meal was a let down. We had the appetizer sampler to start. Just ok, egg rolls were about the best. Disappointed with the Crab Rangoon. The entrées didn’t get any better. Large portions(we took food home) but it just tasted dry, like it had been sitting around under a heat lamp for some time. And not enough flavor? The wait staff is fast and courteous. No complaints there at all. They look after you pretty well. I agree with Nate H. It is a nice touch that glass of wine to end your meal with. An unexpected compliment or thank you. This was dinner and not my usual lunch. Maybe that was it, also I didn’t notice the owner around either(He’s a funny, neat guy. You will know when he’s there!). Or maybe a new Cook. Like I said, I’ve been here several times and I will go back. They normally are really good. When they are on… its a good meal at a reasonable price.

I enjoyed my dinner here. I had the«Amazing Chicken». It was battered chicken with some kind of sauce. Really good! The Egg Rolls were also very good as was the crab rangoon. After you are done eating they bring you a complimentary glass of wine which was neat.

I think the highlight of this place is the service. The owner and the wait staff are extremely attentive. The food is good enough, but it was not better than the Golden Wok on the side of Walmart that serves lunch at half the price. The fried rice is not what I expected at all. It was made with dry yellow rice, onions and a random egg here and there. My Mongolian beef was tender and flavorful and I used the sauce to moisten the rice. My daughter had sesame chicken and it was good enough too. There are appetizers, soups and entrees with choice of rice on the menu and the atmosphere was enjoyable, or «cute» as my daughter commented. We were lucky enough to get complimentary plum wine after our meal and I really enjoyed it. Worth experiencing but not my favorite Chinese in the Mandeville-Covington area.

Fresh, delicious, and good service. Our favorite chinese food when we lived on the northshore.
