If you’re meandering through the area, this is a place you don’t want to miss! The thrift shop is lovely but the furniture area is worth the price of admission! Great finds here. Honestly, I never go there that I don’t find some great treasure. It really is like that. Last week, I found a painting that looked right out of Treasure Island and a great counter-height table handcrafted out of solid wood. Scotty was ready to deal but I just wanted to pay him because as others have mentioned, all the money goes to the St. Francis pet rescue. This is a great place to start your search because you will find unique items at great prices and buy from people who genuinely care. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Good quality furniture and furnishings, well-presented. Uncrowded, easy to move around in. Relaxed atmosphere, with pet cats and dogs in the shop, because the shop is dedicated to providing funds for a no-kill animal shelter. Good prices on furniture, rugs, art, etc. The store is about two blocks off the Tammany Trace bike trail, in a small, uncrowded shopping center next to the well known Triple Nickel sandwich shop.

When my daughter needed furniture for her new apartment we came here. We found a daybed & end tables that were a great buy. I found a rug & painting for myself so that was great. I really like that there is such a variety of things & all are in good shape. Knowing that the proceeds go to the animals makes it even better. An extra bonus is that they have someone who can deliver your items if you need it. It’s hard to get a sofa in a Toyota! If you are looking to downsize or just replace what you have with something new then consigning here is what you want. I like that they involve you in the pricing of the items you bring. Spring is here so I will be back to «recycle» some of my old stuff for new.

A pretty standard thrift shop as far as product goes. What makes this different and better is that they give all profits to St. Francis Animal Sanctuary. One caveat, if you are allergic to cats like I am, don’t go in. They do have a sign on the door warning of dogs and cats being in the shop. Sadly, even as large as the place is, I had watery eyes and felt like I swallowed some steel wool by the time I went through. But please… come check the place out… get some furniture… and on Thursday-Saturday, they have pet adoptions next door.

I had fun perusing this used furniture store. Much of the selection looked like someone cleaned out Grandma’s house but there were some gems to be found(orange velvet chair anyone?) There did seem to be workers around but they never spoke to us. The store is MUCH larger than it appears from the street since it has a huge warehouse behind it. There were cats wandering the front part of the store(for those who are allergic) along with signs saying«do not touch.» OK… Definitely a spot to check back regularly if you’re looking to furnish a house inexpensively.

S&S is an interesting consignment shop. From what I have been told, they donate much, if not all, of their revenue to the next door animal rescue place. I am not sure how they can afford to do that, but I definitely support their efforts. The shop is deceiving when you first walk in. The main floor has several bedroom and dining sets for sale, but the main area is located towards the rear of the shop in the warehouse. There you will find a large amount of couches, tables and other various furniture. The quality of the consignment pieces ranged from super high end to regular run of the mill items. Prices were very reasonable and much cheaper than new, even for the pieces that looked new. The staff were very helpful and gladly helped load my truck which seems to be a rare occurrence at furniture stores these days. If you are in the market for nice furniture, but want a deal, come check out S&S.
