Not only do they carry Perlis and Cajun Clothing Company, but Vineyard Vines, Cutter and Buck, Hickey Freeman, Ike Behar, amongst others. But seriously, who wants a boring ol’ regular polo, when a Mardi Gras striped crawfish one is available. Even the local teams polos and button-​downs are ready-​to-​wear: Tulane, LSU, ULL. What sets Perlis apart is the service! They’ll outfit you perfectly — from polite, appropriate suggestions on gifts to holding or shipping sizes– it’ll happen.
Thanks to Perlis, my husband now enjoys a Tulane golf polo and Bourbon-​bottle print socks.

Perlis on the northshore is awesome! The store is smaller than the one Magazine St. What remains the same:
1.) Friendly, professional staff.
2.) Plenty of the essentials: Crawfish shirts, Fleur de lis oxfords, jewelry & more!
3.) Fantastic customer service!
I find that the folks at Perlis always go out of their way to provide superior customer service. If they don’t have an item it can be sent over from the N.O. store (if in stock).
4.) The staff gets to know you & know what you might like! This type of attention to detail is all but lost in large chain stores.
5.) Lifetime free alterations on any suits, slacks or dresses purchased! If you’ve taken items to a tailor, you know how pricey they are! This is a fantastic thing!
6.) This is as easy & stress free as shopping gets! I love it! You get in and out quickly.

What’s to say? This is the Northshore outpost of the Magazine Street icon. You can get the famous crawfish logo polo (and other style) shirts without having to cross the Lake. They know their clientele. In store selection is not quite as good as Magazine, but hey carry a full line of men’s clothing. This is a decent retail store with a good selection of their own clothes as well as several other high end designer lines. And what they don’t have, they can get delivered from Magazine. Or special order. Their service is good.
I always tend to think of them as a men’s store, but they have a nice selection of women’s clothing.
