You can always find a good deal in Albertsons’ weekly ads. The meat and health/beauty depts often have buy one get one free deals on many essential items. There is a Community Coffee shop in store which offers a variety of hot and iced beverages as well as free Wi-fi. There prices are competitive with most of the local stores excluding Walmart but I’ll pay the price to avoid the aggravation which usually ensues after stepping into a Walmart store.

Horrible customer service and NEVER buy a cake from the bakery! They look good but are anything but. They are poorly made and the icing melts quicker than a whipped icing!

Albertson’s is a large grocery store located in a large strip mall development on US190. As you walk in there is a flower shop, a coffee shop, the produce section, the bakery, deli and seafood/meat counter. They offer a very large produce section with high quality produce. The seafood/meat counter offers all all vrieties of seafood, etc., but there is a problem. It seems that most of their seafood is not from the gulf. This was the case even before the oil spill. I refuse to buy fish from Indonesia. There is an excellent selection of meat and their steak prices are very reasonable. There is a huge wine, beer and liquor selection. All of their beers are in a large walk in cooler. The selection is excellent. The wine and liquor selection is also very good. The store is pretty well stocked and prices are reasonable. The one area that may be lacking is the cashiers. They do their job, but don’t seem overly friendly. Maybe I just happen to go towards the end of their shift when they are stressed, but thy always seem in a bad mood. Albertson’s is a nice store. Even with the non-local seafood and unhappy cashiers, I will return.
