Says«walk-ins welcomed». I go in on a Saturday afternoon at 12:30(expecting to be somewhat of a wait, which I would have been completely fine with seeing I did not make an appointment). There was a 2 hour wait, I said«2 hours?!» She said yes she was there by herself. Cannot understand why there would be just ONE person working on a weekend afternoon.

Awful results. My manicure was peeling within 24 hours and the worst part is that I was on vacation and treated myself to a manicure so that I would look good. Very disappointed and very embarrassed.

DONOTGOHERE. I went to the salon for eyelash extensions and a shellac manicure. I saw a woman in a store with the most beautiful long lashes and asked if she used Latisse. She said told me she went to Top Nails and so I booked an appointment right away. I was really excited! When they did my french manicure, I was wary because you should NEVER mix the Shellac and Gellish product lines, because they don’t interact! In my experience, Gellish doesn’t last and Shellac does. The nail tech used Gellish base coat and Shellac for the rest. The french looked really pretty, but peeled right off in 2 days, and I work a desk job. Here’s the real nightmare of it all, though. I specifically told the salon owner(Amy?) that I wear contacts and was not advised to take them out during the extension application. She didn’t tell me at all what to expect and I was surprised that it took so long and that my lids were all taped up. At one point, I felt a stinging in one of my eyes and let Amy know, she said«Oh, it’s just the glue» very casually. Well, my lashes looked OK, a little spidery. But there was a real burning in my eye that day which I used OTC eye drops for. The next morning when I woke up, my actually eyeball was swollen and my lid could hardly shut around it. I had to go to the Emergency Room for treatment and was there for 5 hours… on a holiday weekend. They had to do a flush on my eyes which caused the glue to break down and the extensions to fall off… along with a LOT of my natural lashes, too. I spent over $ 300 at the salon, and THIS was what I got. I called Amy to let her know what happened the next day the salon was opened, and she said for me to come in and she would reapply the lash extension. I told her I wasn’t interested, I didn’t trust her as a professional and I wanted a refund. She told me to come in and she’d credit me back. I let her know I would be in just after 7 — as soon as I could get out of work and drive there. After all the hassle, she still didn’t stay late to meet me just FIVEMINUTES to give me my refund. I went in on my next day off, and she told me my eye irritation was due to my contact wearing, and I told her my eye doctor and the ER doctor I saw would disagree. She was also very rude, reached out to touch my eye lid without asking to poke and prod at me and inspect the damage. This was in the front of the salon, mind you, with other customers around. She asked me how much I wanted refunded, and I told her ALLOFIT! Including tip! She argued that she never refunds tips and I argued that if I knew my manicure would last 2 days and I would wind up in the ER I wouldn’t have tipped her. It wasn’t until I threatened calling a lawyer until she FINALLY gave me my refund. RUNASFASTASYOUCAN! Oh yea, and I also had to start using Latisse to make my natural lashes grow back. A prescription that costs $ 100/month and is not covered by insurance.

I was in town for a wedding and didn’t have time to get my nails done at my usual nail salon so my friend and I decided to just look for one when we get up to Manchester. I searched for nail salons around our hotel area, and Top Nails was the only place that showed up without any negative reviews. There were quite a few in the Mall of New Hampshire next door, but I am never a fan of nail salons at the mall, and we also called a bunch of «spas» but no answers or no appointments available, so we went with Top Nails. We got there at 10am, hoping to walk-in without waiting… there were two ladies working on mani and pedi, and there was a young man at the reception desk. he was very friendly and answered all of my questions about shellac. I am very picky with my nails and wanted to make sure they used shellac and not gel(which peels off easily). He also made suggestions on colors and such, it’s very rare at a nail salon unless you are a regular. My friend went in for a pedi, I wanted a pedi and a shellac mani. The young man took care of my friend first, as the other two ladies were still busy. I thought that was odd because you would think they would work on me first since I still have a manicure after. Anyway, I was enjoying my massage chair and foot soak, reading gossip magazine as the young man was making conversations with us. Maybe about 20 minutes later, one of the ladies came over and started on my pedicure. By this time my friend was already done, and 2 minutes later the young man took over. My friend ended up having to wait for me for the rest of the service, but she didn’t mind. The young man did a good job on my feet, except I wish they went a little more into getting the dry/dead skin on my heels. He actually cared to ask if it was ok to scrub the bottom of my feet since it looksl ike it might hurt. After the pedicure, I have the other lady doing my shellac manicure. She was very pleasant and accomodating. I said I wanted a french manicure, but with black instead of white(to match my dress), she said no problem, and I said I wanted them thicker, she said«anything you want!»… now THAT’S customer service! I was very happy with my shellac manicure… even better than the usual place I go to! The only one thing is that they didn’t give me any lotion massages at the end of the manicure, which left my hand pretty dry. In the end it took about an hour and a half for both of us so it was the«in and out» time frame we were hoping for. It cost $ 65($ 35 for the shellac french manicure and $ 30 for the pedicure) and I gave them $ 80 because I was so happy with my nails!
