This my absolute favorite park in Manchester. So beautiful and so much history. In addition to the park area, there are trails that will take you through the surrounding neighborhood. Dress appropriately as there is tall grass and you are likely to pick up ticks or other bug bites. There’s a former baseball field there where my dogs absolutely love running around. I often see people at the park doing yoga, napping, playing, and there’s a great gazebo there where people frequently take pictures or even get married. The Friends of Stark Park will host live concerts throughout the summer and you just bring a lawn chair or blanket. You can also get your name put on a brick on the path leading to the gazebo for a small fee. Lastly, this is also the burial ground of Major General John Stark who famously said live free or die and his family. There’s a grand statue honoring the Major General that just really ties the park together.

Beautiful Park. Also has Starks burial plot with family. You can also go to the river to fish. Or dog open walking areas to that are leash free.
