Mixed bag. The good was my ribs were tender and flavorful. My wife’s were dry and had obviously burnt on one side. Her chicken was dry a un pleasant. The service was atrocious. Don’t eat in the lounge. We arrived at 5. Early enough so it was not busy, only one other table and they were on the way out. There were three wait staff yet we waited ten minutes to get a menu. They were too busy jabbering. Drinks took forever and appetizer was great but we’re at 45 minutes and no one in the restaurant was empty. The meal was slow coming out. I wanted to complain but you know you are so upset you worry you will say something you will regret. No matter how good the food nothing makes up for horrible service.

KC’s is arguably one of the best BBQ places in the Northeast! The Deviled eggs are amazing and I usually opt for one of the pladdas. I like the K-Chunks and the Beef brisket the best! Sweet tea is great and the service is always on point! They recently had a renovation, it’s nice but they took away these color coded BBQ bottles in favor of these label less jars. I love the Apple Slather, it’s a sweet BBQ sauce. Also now they have a loyalty program!

Been here a few times and the food has been great but today iv found that the service was horrible. I noticed 6 servers that had the time to chat it up with each other but not to come to my table and greet me. so 13 minutes after seating myself I over heard the table across the room say«NORIBS !? ««and no fries» «wait… NOBRISKET! » guess they were there for awhile too and posed because they too waited an extended amount of time to find that out… So I left without even having the chance to speak to a server. I mean I was there for ribs so why wait around any longer. Don’t know if I’ll return for a while, too bad cause I really liked that place.

Im a bbq food coniseur. Ive had real southern bbq in tennessee. This place is ok. Not great, not bad either. Just ok. A little pricey. If you want top notch bbq at a decent price go to tennessee bbq in mass.

After such a great experience, we brought friends on a Saturday night, and got the shovel to share. Not impressed. Everything I raved about the first time was disappointing– either dry or fatty. Still a fun place and good service but noisy sitting at the large rows of tables.

I’m from the south so I’m a bit confused why they would call it BBQ. It’s more like a northerner trying to cook bbq from a recipe book written by someone who has never had real southern BBQ. The drinks were good though, good enough to drown out the sad food.

We were up this way for a conference and craving some BBQ… were unsure because of the mixed reviews. After eating here we aren’t sure why anyone would NOT love the food. The service was fast and super friendly, the girl at the front happily gave her feedback on the food. We had the chicken wings, ribs, collard greens, and fried green beans. Everything was AWESOME. The homemade sauces were different and flavorful. We left full and with leftovers As the portions were huge. OH and we had the burnt ends. Another Unilocal reviewer said he’d pick these as his last meal and I agree and would also pick them. Great place and we look forward to returning.

Great bbq and good service. Not fancy but if you want a shovel of smoked meats, this is your place.

This place serves the best BBQ in the north. I stopped by on a Tuesday at 2:30pm for a pickup order. It wasn’t busy and pleased the food came as quickly as it did. They no longer serve their famous green beans. When asked the young lady advised we just don’t serve them. When asked again she avoided responding. It made me a bit concerned like something weird happened to them. Overall incredible food. I have yet to sit in to dine but will do so next time.

Is it possible for this place to continue to get better. Apparently so. Today we started with the garlic wings and deviled eggs. The winds were cooked to order not precooked in advance of the deviled eggs were definitely not ordinary due to the sriracha sauce. Of course we had the burnt ends again and the ribs. Everything here is spot-on exactly what you expect for True BBQ. It is a pleasure to have it close to home

The food was a good price, the food wasn’t bad, the waitress was great, she really went the extra mile, but I can make better at home so three stars.

I’ve been here four times so far and I’d have to say I have never once been disappointed with food. I go with a few people each time and we always get«the shovel» Which is more than enough for four and plenty to bring home for later after! Amazing food and good vibes!

Great food, reasonable prices, fun atmosphere. Our family particularly enjoys the brisket and the macaroni salad.

I was greeted with crayons, a tablecloth to draw on, and a smile; all good things– but the bbq was the real star of this culinary adventure. My wife and I split a massive plate of tender, fresh meat, generous sides, and even topped off the evening with tableside s’mores(they trusted us with a small incendiary device). Love the atmosphere, the service, and of course the sauce-drenched bliss that was pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. We’ll always have a place in our hearts(both literally and figuratively) for this rustic patch of Heaven nestled into the heart of Manchester.

Stopped in for lunch today. No holding back here, I ordered a four meat pladda… soooo good. Brisket, double ribs and sausage. Two side of chili and cornbread. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Ribs were smoky, cooked just right… OK, I added a little sauce just to make it a bit messier, and the smoked sausage is a must. Now with this must food, you’d think I’d have nothing to complain about… Just to nit-pick, my cornbread was like 2″ x 2″… You guys cutting back? Anyway, loved the food… I’ll be back.

certainly not a fancy place but it is all about the food and the napkins. I was working in the area and went with three co workers. every loved the food. I had the brisket sandwich and I must say it was one of the most tender piece of brisket I think I ever had very good. fresh homemade coleslaw. everyone was happy

Okay, the ambiance and the restaurant being clean is great… the person dropping the F-bomb in the back not so great. Now to the BBQ… the ribs were near room temp. BBQ should not be room temp… you can keep your barbecue pits warm all day along with the food. — Belive me, I know barbecue in-and-out; I am from the south and cook it regularly. Also, bbq sauce was ice cold. SMH. The corn bread square I was serves was cold and sticky — Hot, fresh, and served with butter is the way to go. The cream corn appears to be canned… bad choice for a BBQ joint that charges $ 19 for a half pound of brisket average price is $ 8.00 lb in Texas. I understand there is a great bit of variety in prices from north to south but really that is a bit excessive in my opinion. To end on a good note Corinne was my waitress and she did an excellent job ensuring I had everything I needed. I will give KC’S a second chance as sometimes things are just off every now and then when it comes to many restaurants.

When the weather is warm, KC’s is my go-to spot in Manchester for lunch/dinner/drinks with friends. The«backyard» seating section is the ultimate spot for drinks and comfort food. In addition to tacky palm trees and tiki torches, you can grab a seat on umbrella-covered picnic tables with a drink, comfort food, and country music. Leave the health-conscious or vegetarians at home. KC’s literally does buckets filled with layers of meat, beans, and ribs. And buckets of alcohol. And buckets of coleslaw. And pretty much anything fried or gravy-covered. Even the«vegetables» like green beans have a meaty flavor. It’s not fancy(the indoor seating is pretty divey, to be honest) but the portions are huge and the food is solid.
