Great barber shop Abdul & Roland always have a good time. Great old school barber shop in the city a real hidden gem.

This was the most pathetic place I have ever been. This man who has been in salon industry doesn’t understands what the customer wants and doesn’t takes the pain to provide good service. I will not recommend this place unless people have decided to go at other hair salon immediately.

There are two barbers at this shop. I usually travel an hour to Rochester to get my cut from my barber. I thought i would try something closer since I live in the area. Abdul and the other guy. I first went in and the other guy. .older man who seemed to own the shop gave me an okay haircut. Two weeks later I asked if he does a straight razor shave. he said yes and I requested one with my cut.
He pulls out a DISPOSABLE razor! No kidding. Lathers me up, shaves me and nicks me all over! He gave the warm towel after and had the nerve to charge me $ 30.
I can’t speak for the other barber but the old guy who seemed to own the place not only lied to my face but did a horrible job.
I was beyond pissed and never came back. I will still search for a good barber in Manchester but beware. No straight razor.

I’ve been there twice. Both times the service was quick and good. Abdul was the last barber who worked on me. Abdul was delightful and the haircut was really good. This is definitely going to be THE barber shop for me as long as I’m in Manchester.

Just got my haircut here by Abdul. Service was top notch and the cut was excellent! He is very polite and professional, one of the best cuts I’ve had! You can’t go wrong.

Great barbershop! I called today because all of the barbershops in Concord were closed. I spoke with a guy who said he would keep the shop open and wait half an hour just for me. I got down there and met Abdul, who not only gave me one of the best haircuts of my life, but proved to be a great guy. I am from Austin, TX and I come to NH a few times a year to visit friends and family. Granite State Barber Shop will be on my list of places to go every time I come up now to drop in and get a cut/​shave from one of NH’s finest. Thanks Abdul!

This is the best barber shop in Manchester. Abdul takes his time and does an excellent job. I highly recommend Granite State Barbershop.

Abdul does a great job and quickly. I stopped in just as he was closing and he still welcomed me in and even another customer who came after me. He loves what he does and he does it well. Recommend you give him a try.

IAbdul cut my hair on Christmas eve! And it was the WORST haircut I have EVERRRR seen that I had to go to another barber Alec at barber shop UNO on massabesic st to have fixed! When I tell abdul after he don’t care cuz he already has your money! Worst barber in state of NH is abdul! BEWARE!!!
And on top of that DO NOT I mean DO NOT let him straight edge razor your head! He doesn’t even soak razor in alcohol treatment after each customer !! The razor goes from one person to another to another to another without even being wiped off or sanitized! One of these days he will cut someone with aids and transfer it to you let alone all the other diseases you could get! I mean c’mon Abdul take a cup of alcohol and after each customer let razor soak in it to disinfect! Alec at barber shop UNO on massabesic st will tell you all about the dangers of that!

For starters, I simply cannot sing praises loud enough!
I came back to Manchester after graduating from college in NY over a year and a half ago and could never find a decent haircut! I grew a chin strap in college and grew accustomed to professional facial shaves from real men who understood men’s fashion and what a man wants in a haircut (not a chic stylist who cuts from a magazine of celebrity photos!) I spent a few hours over 2 – 3 days looking up barbers on Unilocal and making, phone calls and finally found Granite State Barber Shop!
My haircut was 2 – 3 days ago and I’m just still admiring this haircut! I got the best shave I’ve ever had from a very friendly man named Abdul! Besides the shave, my haircut is also fantastic! Top it all off with a price that would be VERY competitive even by New York standards, and I’m not going to any other barber as long as I live in Manchester!
I’m writing this, my first Unilocal review ever, because I wanted to show my appreciation for a good barber and because just when Unilocal and google both were letting me down, I found the best barber in the city! If you need a good cut, want to be treated like a special customer, or are like me and can’t find a good mans shave anywhere, then this is your place and the search is over!

For the best haircut in all of New England you need to see Abdul. Personally he is the best barber around, Abdul is very detailed and gives me a great haircut every time. Great cut, shave, the works every time. I guarantee you will not be disappointed and will return.

Living in Boston area, I have seen my fair share of barbers. However I was recently between apartment leases and was staying with family in Manchester when I realized I was in desperate need of a haircut. Rather than take the time to go visit my ‘regular’ barber in MA, I decided to visit Abdul at Granite State Barber Shop on the recommendation of both my brother and a friend.
I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon after I got into Manchester from work at about 5:00pm. Abdul was the only one in the shop, and had no customers. He took me right away, immediately realizing that I was a new face. After asking me a few simple questions about how I usually get my hair cut, he went straight to work. I must say that this guy knows how to cut hair. He uses a combination of clippers and scissors, freehanding it nearly the entire time. It almost seems chaotic, but as he progressed, I kept finding myself more and more pleased with the outcome.
I have to mention that I am a serious introvert and don’t really talk much. Abdul definitely picked up on me not really being a talker and made just enough conversation to keep it from getting awkward, which I really appreciated.
After he finished cutting my hair, he cleaned me up with hot lather and a straight razor, again, very professionally. He then gave me a business card on which he wrote down my own personal hair cut preference so that next time, I won’t even have to tell him what kind of cut I get, just show him the card. The total rang up to $ 15 without tip and I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes total.
I highly recommend Abdul for any guy looking to get a quick, friendly and very professional haircut in Manchester.
