Sue Gistinger charged father in law $ 625 for a will and power of attorney documents in 2014. He had a very simple estate(owned a house, had a checking acct, no other investments, 1 son to inherit everything as he explained to Sue) so this shouldn’t have been a stretch for an attorney who’s been in the business since the early 1980’s. When father in law passed in 2015 we realized his will had one major problem; there was not 1 clause about real estate in the entire document. As lay folk, we didn’t realized this during our review period, that’s why we hired her. A basic will must include a clause for personal property AND real estate(we now understand after the fact). We’ve suffered many complications since, including simply trying to pay off father in law’s mortgage company for his home that he wanted us to have. Look out.
