I heartily agree with all the other 1-​star reviews. EXTREMELY predatory and unforgiving. Be on your guard at all times. My vehicle was parked in a legal spot, they towed it anyway. Then they lied and claimed it had been parked in a different, illegal spot. There is no evidence to prove them wrong. It’s their word against yours and these assholes always win. To make it worse, they then insist on cash only. They do a lot of business this way, and you think any of their cash revenue is reported??? What a racket. Makes me feel as if I’m in 1920’s Chicago! STAY FAR FAR away!!!

Most horrid place to ever try to deal with. called for a tow, sent a truck to tow unit and the truck showed up, put my unit on back and then got stopped by local authorities minutes later for no brake lights, no safety chains or tie downs what so ever. recvd call saying they only made it half mile before being stopped, told us they would not let us take our unit back unless we still paid them for the tow even thought they did not tow it for us and they refused to drop our unit. told us if they had to send another truck out to «do the tow properly» we would need to pay a second tow fee??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? BY FAR THE WORST CROOKS EVER!!! PAID FOR A TOW THAT NEVER HAPPENED DUE TO THEIR FAULTY EQUIPMENT, WHO THE HELL DOES THAT?

I had the «pleasure» of meeting the owner of this joke of a business after our car was towed the day after Christmas. I have NEVER met someone who treated their paying customers so horribly. This man was vile, tact less, and disrespectful in so very many ways. We met up with him to retrieve our vehicle (the guest parking at our condo was full, we had no where else to park but he towed it anyway) we were nothing but polite and gave him the outrageous $ 225 he asked for. He then made a mistake on the receipt. I asked him to please give us a receipt with the correct information and not only did he out right REFUSE, he told us «you got what you’re going to get. Now get your car or I’ll lock the gate on you» i was speechless. He wouldn’t look me in the eye, gave me angry short answers and then told us to ‘get the f*** out’ i was nearly in tears. This man shouldn’t be a business owner. Everyone stay as far away from these people as you can!

Dan city towing is not to be recommended for residential/​condo services. Do not let these predators in your front door. They will tow your legally registered vehicle from the front of your house. They will also tow your visitors following condo docs with appropriate tags under the guise that they do not believe your vehicle is registered. If you catch them in the act they will extort you for 180 bucks. Call the cops if they come on your property

Dan’s City towing and auto body is crappy place — shoddy work and the people are complete jerks to deal with. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a bad experience.

Last Saturday my boyfriends son was parked at his condo association in visitor parking. Just before 1am he went to leave to find that a two truck had blocked him in preparing to hitch him up. He ran in and told us, and we immediately went outside to talk to the driver. He REFUSED to stop hooking up the car. We tried to talk to him and he said we either had to pay $ 185 for him to drop it, or over $ 200 if he took it.
We ended up calling the police, after which the guy fully admitted to enjoying ruining peoples evenings and that he was on a power trip. The teenager whose car it was was very upset and wound up because his parents were upset. Unfortunately, the police couldn’t force him to drop the car. They tried convincing him to no avail, so we had to go to the ATM to take out cash at 1:30am. While my boyfriend was gone I stayed with the car and the driver actually accused the teenager of something illegal because he’d become upset and was wound at the police!
The driver was rude, inconsiderate, and made clear he was out just to be a jerk. I would never hire this company or go there for service if this is how they practice business and that is the type of person they employ. Absolutely ridiculous.

This place is the biggest rip off ever. Beware they are on the list of tow companies the police use. If ever in an accident in Manchester and the police want too call someone to tow your car make sure they don’t call this place.
Come on Mr. Pelkie take them down for all of us they have ripped off.
