Ordered the 3 piece chicken meal with FFs. The breading was ok. The chicken was alright. Was a little dry. The FFs were better than some places. Overall price wasn’t bad. The décor is simple and not flashy. Not sure if it’s a place I would make a habit of going to.

Chicken Express opened very recently in the former D’angelo’s location on Mast Rd in Pinardville. This Chicken Express is not affiliated with the large Chicken Express chain in Texas. The place is very casual, an order at the counter place with minimal renovation and décor. The bright green color trim on wooden booths(bright green) still remain here. The food menu offerings include chicken tenders, fried chicken, wings, fried seafood, pasta dishes, side dishes, bag chips, cookies, and bottled Coke products in the cooler. Kids meals offered here. The prices here are moderate, but not expensive. I stopped here for dinner recently. The place was moderately busy on a Wednesday night. I ordered the 5 piece Chicken Tenders meal($ 9.99) with choice of 2 sides(I chose mac & cheese and mashed potatoes w gravy) and Spaghetti with Homemade Meat Sauce($ 8.95). The kitchen staff was hard at work getting food orders made in timely order. Most customers here were ordering chicken tenders, which were freshly hand breaded and fried to order. My food was ready in 12 minutes. The 5 Chicken Tenders on my plate were huge pieces and sides were small. The Chicken tenders were plump and juicy coated with a crispy seasoned breading, not too greasy. The mac & cheese was soft with lots of orange cheese sauce. The mashed potatoes were soft with small potato chunks and the Chicken gravy went well too. The Spaghetti was actually a good size portion of soft cooked linguine topped with a thick hearty meat sauce. I used a couple big chicken tenders for the pasta dish, mmm mmm good! Overall, I really enjoyed my big tasty dinner of homemade chicken tenders and spaghetti. I was expecting average size tenders, but was given huge fresh chicken tenders, a surprising very good value. The pasta dish(linguine with meat sauce) was pretty good. I actually could not finish my food, so the pasta dish was already conveniently served in a round plastic microwavable container packed to go. I know what I’m eating for lunch tomorrow!

Not that great because menu too small and service and food not good. The amount of food is lacking for the amoun t of money charged.
