Cafe Lazeez

The food is very good however I would suggest not going there during their busy times as their customer service declined significantly. The last time I went during their busy time and ordered a beef samosa and he gave me veggie samosa and when I returned it he started giving me lecture on wasting food and started arguing. The lady who runs the front desk came to table and rudely took the food away. When I complain to the owner, rather than apologizing he said we are very busy today. After this visit i will never visit this restaurant. Even though their food is good the customer service skills are horrible. Please be aware!!!

I love this place for their goat biryani and most importantly their waitress Nadia. She is super sweet and has our orders right every time we come here. We have kind of build a good friendship. I give it a 5 star!

This place has improved a lot with a new owner. Authentic Indian food, fresh, fast, and affordable.

Pizzas are great! But the burgers can be better. I would prefer pizza.

Halal Pizza in West County St Louis that is on point with freshness, tasty and plain goodness.
The chicken biryani is very good and chicken tandoori is some of the best I have tasted MashaAllah
Service: Well I have called in my pizza orders a couple times and my orders were not even started when I got there like 30 mins later. However it has been a yr or two since I have been so maybe they have gotten better in this area

Meh is about right and two stars is a tad generous. Our experience wasn’t all the way to eek but it was also far from a-​ok.
My dish (chicken kebab) was relatively tasty even if it wasn’t what I ordered. I’m not sure why they couldn’t produce a beef kebab but I suppose that is neither here nor there. It came with a thin green sauce that was very flavorful and a naan that was clearly not made on-​site. It was described as coming wiht a salad as well but that amounted to a healthy pinch of plain lettuce that occupied one of the two smaller food compartments in the Chinet plate my $ 10 meal was served upon.
We also ordered a couple of samosas as appetizers but they showed up between the arrival of the wife’s entrée and the arrival of my entrée. I cut into one and it was cold inside. Those went back but it showed me they were clearly just frying up frozen products.
The wife’s gyros was severely lacking and I could tell by looking at it that I wouldn’t like it. The meat clearly came into the store pre-​sliced and was warmed on-​site. I tried a piece of the pita and it was alright but nothing special. It had a little bit of sauce on it such that I could dell they add dill — not sure why that is a STL thing but it doesn’t really match well with gyro meat in my opinion. Her sandwich also included lettuce and tomato — another STL thing, I suppose.
I found the fact that the older gentleman who worked there started to wipe the table with a dishcloth after clearing our assorted paper plates to be quite disconcerting. We asked him to wait a second so we could get out of the booth before the table crumbs landed in our laps.
I’m not sure that much of the food they offer is actually prepared on-​site. Thanks but no thanks — there are far better places in the area offering the same dishes. I can reheat stuff at home.

If you like Pakistani food then you will love it. They have very good food and friendly service but I would like if they renovated or made the restaurant cleaner.

I don’t understand why people care so much about the service… the service was above my expectations for small café.
When it comes to authentic Pakistani food… This place is perfect… And the service here is typical of Pakistani restaurant…
The host is the chef. He made us delicious pooris and he was very friendly.
The food is 100% authentic Pakistani halal food!
The food was delicious … Much cheaper than Indian fancy restaurant and everything was made fresh… I saw them cooking it.
I stopped by for Pakistani breakfast and it was great… Very reasonably priced. Halwa poori breakfast was only 5.99.

I’m so sad to say all the horrible reviews I read and didn’t listen to were true. The food was served on paper. Their «drinks» were just cans of soda or bottles of water with no ice available. The atomosphere was depressing, empty and uncomfortable. While I was eating, some members of the family who own this place came in and gave myself and my mother dirty looks. No smiles no thank you for coming or enjoy your meal. I ordered a mango lassi that wasn’t given to me until I was already into my meal. I ordered a kabob, the description said it came on skewers with vegetables and salad. What I got was two pieces of meat on a paper plate with one tiny tomato wedge and 7 tiny picece of plain uncooked Iceberg lettuce. No salad served with my meal like on the picture or description I had to make it myself from the salad buffet which was just bags of salad dumped out of a bag I think they got from Walmart. Oh before I forget while I was eating some of their family members brought in a bag full of toliet clearer and a toliet scrubber and sat it down on the counter for the remainder of my meal. The only thing good about this place was the mango lassi and the feeling of being free from prison when I walked out the front door. Listen to the Unilocal reviews or pay the price.

As close to authentic Pakistani food as you’ll find in Ballwin! Gyro was great — not Greek so don’t expect it – and the kabobs were wonderful!
Not a terribly fancy place, but if you’re looking for some off-​the-​wall great food at a value price, this place is it.

Café lazeez is actually really great, the service has really improved and they have very friendly staff. Sometimes it might take a while to make the food, so you should call ahead and let them know what you want. The chicken broast, beef burger, chicken tikka pizza, and chicken biryani are my favorite things at café lazeez. The ambience might not be so great but its the food that matters

EEK! Methinks NOT is right! It was like going to someone’s home that you don’t know and are freaked to find you have to stay a while because it’s just. that. icky.
Went with my son, mom, and grandmother who all have great palates. Unfortch for all of us. The salad was straight cheapo bag lettuce, served on a STYRO plate. The chicken dishes we ordered were flavorless. We did not touch the water we ordered for fear of… something. There was no actual service to speak of.
Everything on styro. Was dingy-​looking. Sadness.

Café Lazeez was formerly great, but has gone downhill recently. I have been eating at Lazeez since it opened in the last decade and since then every year it has gone downhill a little bit. First of all– the broast is the reason why I went there to begin with. It’s a pressure cooked fried chicken that’s delicious and relatively lightly battered and salted (which suits my tastes). Originally the portions were supremely generous for the price and came with a ton of fries and ranch dipping sauce. However, last time I went the dude at the counter literally told me that my 3-​piece broast would only be 3 drumsticks without any of the thigh or breast pieces, but full price anyway. Service, which was never Lazeez’s strong suit, has only gotten surlier over time too. It’s still worth a shot if you like a crisp and lightly battered fried chicken (which I do in comparison to a more heavily battered southern style fried chicken) but it is not as great as it used to be.

Strange little place. At least the times I went there, the owners never asked me to pay — I guess their custom is you pay after you eat. Others have correctly pointed out that the place lacks ambience and is probably 1 – 2 employees short of being fully staffed. Don’t think the owners know much about running a business, but the food is pretty good.

Definitely like the Chicken Biryani here and would recommend it. Haven’t tried anything else here though. Good place for take out, ambience is not that great.

This place is good for take out. I tried Chicken boti kabob and those were really good.
the other dishes we tried were ok. We order Mutton biryani but there was no meat in the dish It came with few bones. the naan that came with chicken jalferzi was burned from one side.
If I go again I will only order chicken boti kabob and I am good to go.

The worst dining experience I have ever had. Things must have changed since the previous reviewer. There was no buffet (which is why I originally visited). The person who knew how to take the order was out, so I had to wait about 5 minutes for him to get back. They got my side order incorrect. The gentleman did not seem to know what samosas were, so they just gave me fries instead — which I never ordered. I can see in rush getting something wrong, but there was only one other customer. I got their Broasted Chicken Burger — awful! It was about as thick as a cracker — with the breading. I can’t even tell you how broasted chicken tastes, because all I could even sense besides the bun was breading. And the fries were OK. Then I could not pay because the guy who knew how to work the register stepped out again. Finally, when he returned & I could pay, they had no money in the register to make change — for a $ 10. Maybe they do their Pakistani food better, but I will never be back to find out.
