I am so very disappointed! This experience happened on Jan 1, 2016. HAPPYNEWYEAR … though, not so much for moi thanks to this pathetic experience at Burlington Coat Factory located at 77 S Willow St, Manchester, NH ! I have generally had a good opinion of BCF but on this visit to this particular store there was one miserable customer(me!) in the checkout line and four — yes, count FOUR — check out associates who ALL royally ignored me even though 2 of them were doing N-O-T-H-I-N-G! One of them had a printer roll issue and she was kind enough to let me know by signalling in my direction and telling me that she had a hold up. Finally, I just gave up and walked up to the other guy who INSISTED on STARING at his screen for a full FIVE minutes doing — yep, you guessed it — N-O-T-H-I-N-G while patiently ignoring me. He had to look up at me when I was that close to him and informed me that he was the SUPERVISOR — like that was something that would explain the utter lack of customer courtesy on his part. Prior to this, he did not even look up to let me know that he is being delayed! This reminded me of a funny TV ad from Fedex where a new associate is asked by an old, seasoned trainer to fill in a form for customer shipping. He informs her — with overflowing pride — that he is an MBA. To this she frowns a min, thinks it over and responds«oh, you have an MBA … ummmm … well, its not very difficult … I am sure you can do it too!» This is what I wanted to tell this SUPERVISOR that he might not look that smart but I am sure he had the basic skills to take the money I was giving BCF and check out my purchase like the three other associates he was«SUPERVISING» were doing juuuuuust fine. I cannot believe that BCF hires these kind of folks who will ignore a customer only because they are SUPERVISORS and cannot deal with plebeian, run-of-the-mill folks like me who are DONATING my money for their ‘soon to be given to the Salvation Army merchandise’!!
