LOVE Billy’s! While I do love sports, sports bars usually are not my favorite spot, but Billy’s is great. I’ve been here over a handful of times since the beginning of the year and have yet to be disappointed. The service is always very fast and the food is always hot, fresh and tasty. You wouldn’t think(at least I wouldn’t), but their French onion soup is AMAZING! It’s hard to find places that do French onion soup right. Their ambiance is fun and relaxing and the other guests there are always interactive and friendly. The only downside was the charge for extra buffalo sauce and some other condiments. I understand it’s homemade, but I also work where everything is homemade and we would not charge for«a little extra» sauce or condiment that a guest is just adding to liven up a dish to their liking. Sports fan or not, you will enjoy your time and meal at Billy’s. The menu offers typical bar food, but they also have many different sandwiches, specials, pastas and seafood. It’s nice for people like me who don’t always want to munch on chicken tenders and burgers.

Decent sports bar, I’ve only been there for lunch but it’s definitely got a good sports bar personality. They’ve got a big menu and the food is alright.

BEST sports bar in Manchester. In town from Chicago, my wife & I were lucky to find Billy’s. Great food, fantastic environment and every game was on… oh, and AWESOME hand-cut fries.

This review applies to breakfast only, I have gotten to go food for lunch midweek and had a better experience. Wife and I today went to Billy’s for breakfast. We didn’t know they offered breakfast, but drove by last Sunday morning and saw a packed parking lot and were looking forward to this. Walking in from a beautiful sunny Fall morning into a dark, divey bar really set a bad tone, as did the chipped mugs of coffee eventually presented to us. Our waitress was a younger woman with glasses. I’ve worked in the industry before, I get it, but she was super inattentive between her frequent and long duration trips to the kitchen. The food was average at best and not worth the higher price point it was sold at. The same money will get you much better at Julien’s, Belmont Hall or Chez Vachon. My hashbrowns weren’t as crispy as I would have preferred, but was near impossible to remedy. Eventually, we did get a coffee refill from a nice older woman with short hair that saved this review from a one star rating. Overall, dreary ambiance, average food priced too high served by tired and hungover staff on ancient plates.

Burgers are huge and amazing and the chili is some of the best I’ve ever had. Only knock was the bartenders lack of attentiveness and attitude

Really good for what it is – a sports bar. If you don’t like TVs and sports, probably not the place for you. I was impressed with the selection of food. It wasn’t just typical burgers and wings. The menu includes different soups, salads, and sandwiches, as well as lots of different apps. I enjoyed the fish sandwich — fried nice and crispy — with the homemade sweet potato fries. They were more like chips but still good. Husband got a BBQ chicken sandwich; he really liked the sauce. Pretty big dessert menu but we were stuffed! Several different beers on tap. I got a Goose Island IPA because they were doing a promo. Husband got a Sam’s Summer. We’ll definitely go again.

I have been going to this sports bar for many years now with all of my friends I had dinner here 8−6−15 I was highly disappointed in the quality of service that I received my beer was flat The food was soggy and cold and the waitress took 15 minutes every single time we asked her for a beer then came over and asked if we were okay? It’s not even busy for a Thursday night during a Redsox Yankees game. Yeah we ordered a beer not that difficult… There is a group of people at the bar that are very intoxicated and should have been cut off a while ago and the served them ANOTHER pitcher. It might be a while before I ever come back. Normally it would be a 4 – 5 star rating but tonight I would give it a 0 if I could.

I had the ½ sandwich and soup, great price! I had the chicken salad sandwich on rye very good! And clam chowder again very good but it was just warm. The place is very clean and the waitress was very good! I would recommend trying them out.

Decided to come here on my last night visiting New England. Saw this place got a nice 4 star from Unilocal. Beer menu here is very basic. Hoping to see some more of the local brews, but the closest I could find was Sam Adams. Meh Food menu on the other hand was fantastic. Was told by the bartender everything is homemade and she recommended several things and I decided on the baked haddock, with rice and corn accompanying. Tasted like something that my mother would make, I enjoyed it. The bar itself is older, like someone else said out of the 80s. Not that I have a problem with that myself having grown up in the 80s. Only had two hang-ups about the place. One being the limited beer selection(although it was cold) and second, I noticed 3 of the booths in the bar area had toddlers. Come on parents out there, this is a BAR! Places like Chuck E Cheese exist for a reason. Editing this review after using the, ahem, facilities. Absolutely cleanest bathroom in a bar I have ever seen. One person at a time room, and there’s a small TV in there too so as not to miss that oh so important play of whatever game is on

Seats were hard limited places to sit. Waitress was pushy like she needed to put some more butts in the seats. Asked for no season on fries they put so much pepper on them it burnt my lips and throat. Brought my son container to put the rest of his food in. Could barely fit it in. Overall food was terrible waitress we had. Had the personality of a paperclip Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Just got a simple cheeses burger with fries and it was great. I called for pickup and usually when I get a burger to go somewhere they never get the temp on the burger right. These guys nailed it and the bread wasn’t soggy. I also got a side of onion rings they were exactly what I’ve been looking for. Most places you get mainly bater and a little string of an onion. The onions were just the right thickness with not to much bater nice golden brown color. I’ll be back there more often.

«1987 called, they want their sports bar back» This is where you flip your worn out, rounded brim college cap on backwards, order crappy fried foods, and delve into a big olé pitcher of Bud Light Lime while referring to each other as brah. All of this in front of a bunch of «old HD televisions» that are clearly not in high def. If you’re lucky, the bartender may have more than 3 teeth. You like/love this place because you don’t know what good food is, you don’t know what good beer is or your television was repo’d by Rent-a-Center. Haven’t been here in 2 – 3 years and I think the same people were falling off their barstools as the last time in. Triple D in the house… Dated, Dirty, Disgusting.

Gotta love people that give poor reviews about the«wall to wall tv’s» and comments like«if you don’t like sports don’t come here. » Uh yeah… it’s a sports bar, pinhead. And the best one around. Do us a favor and go back to the west coast. Greatest place to watch MULTIPLE games. Great staff. VERY reasonably priced, quality food. Wings are legendary. If you like cold beer, good food, and sports of all kinds, you will have a good experience.

Thank you, Billy! After coming off the airplane with the Gator basketball game at halftime, I scrambled to find a place that could show the game. Billy personally assured me we could get the game on, and sitting down at a fairly full bar, he put put my game on not 1, but FIVE different televisions! He came over and introduced himself, and showed me why his bar has such great ratings! When there was a glitch in the game, he went to his computer to research the etiology — game cancelled at half due to wet court :( During our brief visit, we tasted the cheese sticks and were not disappointed. The pineapple soaked vodka is definitely a must! Billy has tons of TVs and a heart of gold … I look forward to the next opportunity I have during my travels to patronage his fine establishment!

After Bill & Bob’s roast beef up in Lincoln, I’ve been on a roast beef tear, trying to get my East Coast fix. Unfortunately Billy is clearly no relation to Bill or Bob, as these sandwiches are back to the cold, grey & tasteless roast beef of my West Coast youth. Boooooo! The nachos are ok for East Coast. Chicken soup is fine, a tad better than a good canned version. Extra star for the cozy ambiance(but you better be ready for wall-to-wall TVs). I can easily imagine slipping in here on a wintery night to catch a game and a beer. Skip the roast beef though. If you don’t like sports, don’t come here, as you’ll be bombarded from wall to floor(yes, a scuffed up TV in the floor) by sporting events being broadcast from all over the country.

I need to update my previous review since my friend and I have been here several times since the last posting. The previous reviewer(Heath M.) wrote a great review, hitting most of the points I was going to write. Billy’s Sports Bar is the real deal which is plastered with lots of sports memorabilia and has lots of TVs! There are lots of bars & restaurants that call themselves«sports bars», BUT most bars in this area will only show Boston area sports and nationally televised sports and that’s it. Why? Because most area bars carry Comcast and not DirectTV. Most people around here in Southern NH will root for Boston area teams and having Comcast is adequate. However, if you’re a fan of an out of town sports team, then there is a good chance your favorite team will not be shown on TV locally. Billy’s Sports Bar is one of the few bars in the area that has DirectTV with NFL Sunday Ticket and the NFL Network. There are other places which also carry DirectTV including Applebees(Derry) and Smokey Bones(Tyngsboro, MA). However, the food served at Billy’s is WAYBETTER than the cr-p served at the area chain bars. We’ve stopped at Billy’s to catch our favorite teams in action when our games/events were not shown locally. The food has been consistently good each time and the prices are very reasonable. The large Nachos Supreme is HUMONGOUS, enough for 4 big people! The Billy Burger Sliders and Jason K’s Cajun Chicken Sandwich are also our favorites. They also have some good interesting food specials and drink specials. They had $ 7 Labatt’s pichers last time we were here. The service here is good. The bartenders always check up on us and ask us if we need anymore drinks and refills. Billy’s Sports Bar is the best option for us to catch our favorite(non New England) sports teams play and enjoy some good food and drinks in a cozy neighborhood sports bar atmosphere. SIDESTORY: Last December(2008), my place(south of Manchester) lost power during that nasty ice storm for only one day(I was lucky). Billy’s Sports Bar had power and this is where I stopped for a tasty hot dinner with drinks. I brought my laptop and I used the free wi-fi access here to check up on the latest news and social networking sites. Power was restored to my place later that evening.
