Carried my Allstate insurance over from another state when I moved to NH. At that point, roughly 4 years ago my policy was changed as far as what is covered under my comprehensive coverage due to state regulations and I was never notified of this change. Now after being a 15+ year customer I am being told to pound sand and am going to have to buy my own $ 450.00 windshield because I now have $ 500 deductible for glass even though I have had multiple windshields replaced in the past at no extra cost to me This should have been explained to me when I moved by my insurance agent as that why I pay a licensed insurance agent, to tell me things about regulations and policy. The difference in price to fix this situation would have only cost me $ 7 a month… Like I wouldn’t have happily paid $ 7 to have the coverage I wanted. They allowed me to carry a policy that differs greatly from the policy I originally bought from Allstate for more than 4 years and never once explained or notified me of this change. And offer nothing to help rectify the situation except pay the difference of the $ 7.00 per month for the past 4 years… I find this unacceptable and immoral. After 15+ years of customer loyalty I will now be finding a new insurance provider over the cost of a windshield, and due to their error I am now out of pocket for something I have had repaired at least twice in the past w/no extra cost with the supposedly SAME unchanged policy. They made the error/oversight and noe I get punished for it… Great customer service there!
