Lindsay House Bed & Breakfast

Great place! Judy, Tim & Tom are very nice! Rooms are excellent and well maintained. Tom’s bacon is perfect. Breakfast was awesome! Highly recommended!

We were staying in town for a tubing trip on the Wolf River in nearby New London. Owner Judy was flexible with our arrival time and we had a lovely message waiting for us on the chalkboard when we arrived. The house is really charming and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. The dog, Abby, was calm and cuddly (though beware, one of the cats is an escape artist!) The home-​cooked breakfast was delicious and served with a personal but professional flare. Judy was had great chat and was very helpful with dinner recommendations and relaying the house history. My first B & B experience, but I’d certainly come back again!

Having grown up in Manawa, I have often driven by this beautiful gem of a Victorian.
This past week, I needed to be back in town for a family funeral, and also wanted to find a loving, comforting place for my niece and her husband to also land. Judy, Tim and Thomas provided a warm and beautiful home for the three of us as we navigated the cold realities of losing a loved one outside the Lindsay walls, but then were nurtured back into believing in life, living and moving forward once we got back to the B & B. Judy believes in bringing Joy, humor and care into everything she does. We had incredible breakfasts, Judy modified recipes for our Vegetarian request that ultimately we didn’t need, and then promptly added some delicious Niemuth’s bacon back on to the menu when we needed some extra love.
What can you say about a place that provides comfy beds, wonderful rocking chairs on a great porch, and two loving cats and an attentive Golden Lab? We loved it here. As Judy said, this house has seen so much and will be around long after all of us. Maybe. But the memory of Judy, Tim and Thomas’ care will remain for all of us long after our visit. I will be back again, and again, and would suggest you do the same.

We visit here each year for a conference in Iola. Judy and Tim are gracious hosts and the B&B is nicely furnished, exquisitely clean and very comfortable. Judy’s breakfasts are the best food in the area.
We love having pets around in the morning and evening, but I’m sensitive to cat dander. No worries here as the kitties are not allowed upstairs near the guest rooms. So we have the best of both worlds. Pets to entertain us but no allergic reactions.
