I had a very good experience. Appointment was on time. Dr took a thorough look at my swollen salivary gland. Issued medication that actually shrunk it (unlike what the ER had prescribed) and when it didn’t make it disappear completely, he ordered a CT Scan. He’s very thorough. I liked his professionalism and demeanor. Very pleasant. Worth the drive.

He did not ask about my history, current medications and just came across as uninterested. Seriously, the whole meeting was 2 minutes and he said that is it. I still have ear issues and will move to another ENT.

Worst doctor ever. Two words about this doctor. Wrong diagnosis. He missed a hole in my ear drum. Seriously wonder how he got an ENT specialist certificate.

I liked that this doctor was close to me. My PCP recommended him to me for a chronic sore throat that could not be resolved after 3 months. I don’t believe I have ever been to an ENT before. He talked to me for a couple of minutes, sprayed something up my nose and came back with a tube that he stuck through my nose and presumably in my throat. All of this took less than 1 – 2 minutes. He said he saw nothing and said I could try a RX strength med for acid reflux (most likely caused by stress and resulting digestive distress-​this was my diagnosis, not the doctors). 2 weeks later, I get a bill (still have the sore throat) that says I owe him $ 150 Co-​pay for pre-​surgical consultation. Wait, what? I’m disputing his charges with my insurance company; my co-​pays for specialists usually run $ 35 under my plan for which he is a preferred provider. It really irritates me that they didn’t even tell me what they charged up front.
I am adjusting this review because he dropped the charges. I went through the whole process for disputing the charges and then appealing what the health insurance ruled. They said I must pay because the services were rendered and they weren’t privy to the conversation I had with the doctor. My point exactly was that I did not have a chance to consider whether or not to have the treatment based on all details to include price. Well, since the Dr’s accounting office started threatening me with pinging my credit report I decided to pay and sent my check with a letter. Much to my surprise, three weeks later I received my check back with a note saying Dr Rhee decided to write it off. I have to say thank you to the doctor, but not to the evil billing people. :)

I went to see Dr. Rhee. exam took 30 seconds, he said «not too bad» and write a prescription. No explanation, no follow up information at all. It is really difficult to communicate with this doctor. He is just rushing to get the next patient inline. I do not like when dr. rushes and trusts you a client not a patient and tries to see as much as people to make more money.

I had an appointment with Dr. Rhee in his Haymarket office yesterday the receptionist was a bit distracted I guess even though I had written on the sign in sheet that I was a new patient she had not after a good 30min not asked me to fill out all those annoying forms or any insurance information so I decided I needed to let her know regardless she was very nice and personable.
I had some ear issues, he was 45 min behind schedule, very frustrating but I stayed it’s not like I have not had to wait this long before at other doctor offices. So my apt lasted all of maybe 10min. and he comment he had no clue what the deal was for me to try some nose spray and let him know if it cleared up my ears.
I know this all sounds like a rant but It is not just the truth I will return to this office if need be in the future as I felt very comfortable I could not say he was an incompetent doctor just because he had no clue what the deal was with my ears as every single thing that has gone haywire concerning my health issues not one doctor has been able to pin it down, so my husband and myself just laughed and chalked it up to yea of course. Dr. Rhee seems to be a very intelligent and very kind. I also have read my other reviews on other sites and they all concur even though there was a long wait time and paper issues as well.

I had an appointment with Dr. Rhee in his Annandale office a few weeks ago. It was going to take about a month to get an appointment with the last ENT I’d seen, so I started calling around, and Dr. Rhee’s office fit me in two days after I called to schedule the appointment.
I was late for my appointment because I had some trouble finding the office — my GPS put me about a block away from where I should have been, and since it put me in the middle of a strip-​mall type location, I called to find out where I should go. The receptionist said it was her first day, so she had to find someone else who could give me directions.
Once I arrived, I had to wait 5 – 10 minutes to get the new patient paperwork while the receptionist was taking payment from and giving paperwork to other patients. There were always at least 6 patients in the waiting area during the entire time I was there, and there seemed to be a quick turnover because people were constantly being called in to see the doctor, so things were a little hectic in the reception area… though not unorganized.
After completing the paperwork, I had to wait for another 30 minutes or so before I was seen. I think the doctor saw other patients before me if they arrived before me, even if their original appointment was after mine. I’m not sure how I feel about that; I didn’t have to work that day so I was happy playing around on my phone, but the waiting area was small and crowded.
Once I was in with the doctor, I had a quick and pleasant experience — he assessed my paperwork and didn’t ask too many redundant questions (a big pet peeve of mine), did a physical exam and then talked to me about what he thought would be the best course of action. I asked a couple of questions based on things I’d heard from two previous ENTs, and he was very patient and calm and explained why they did and said what they did, and why he was saying and doing what he was doing. Then he wrote a prescription and said to come back if it didn’t work out, but he expected the problem to be resolved in a week to 10 days. Sure enough, about 5 days later, my problem was significantly reduced.
I appreciated that I didn’t feel rushed when I was talking with him, even though there were half a dozen other patients waiting to see him; I also appreciated that he didn’t talk down to me; he didn’t require me to come in for a follow up, which many other specialists seem to do; and best of all, I had a remedy to my problem within a week of calling to make the appointment. The only downsides were the wait, which was partly (mostly?) my fault and the small/​crowded waiting area.
Overall, I seem to have a lot of problems with my ears, so next time they flare up, I’ll definitely give Dr. Rhee’s office a call.

I haven’t been back to Dr. Rhee, but after trying to figure out why I’ve been getting migraines, in spite of the things found, it’s ultimately not a sinus issue, and my sinus issues are caused as a side effect of my migraines (and not the other way around, as I had originally thought). Still, he’d prefer a patient with some obscure zoonotic disease in their facial cavities over someone with the sniffles, so meh.
