Manassas Olive Oil Company

This is such a treasure of a shop, and I am so glad that it exists! My husband and I use a lot of olive oils and balsamic in our cooking, and we LOVE flavored balsamic on salads. I stopped in the other day to check their inventory out and scout out some new vinegars. The selection has so much variety and every bit of quality. You are sure to find something here that you’ll love! I was able to try many different kinds of dark balsamic vinegars such as cherry, strawberry, blueberry, and so many more. I also sampled some white balsamic vinegars such as lemon, mango, and honey ginger. I was amazed at the unique, fresh selection that was available! What an incredible place to find a gift for somebody who loves to cook! Anyway, I purchased a few different bottles of vinegar and some olive oil as well. I already have plans to go back again once our bottles run out! The man working said that you can bring your empty bottles back (cleaned up, of course) for refills! Yay for recycling; that’s the spirit! I will be a faithful customer here, that is for certain!

I love olive oil and I love this store. Owners and employees are so knowledgeable. Samples are available so you know what you are getting. Be sure and try the Tuscan Herb. You will be hooked!

This store has a great selection of delicious quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar!
I personally loved the red apple balsamic vinegar and sage mushroom olive oil and blood orange olive oil. They have an extensive selection and even let you sample them with bread that they provide. They also sell them in 3 different sizes: a large ($ 20), medium ($ 16), and a small sample size ($ 7). I ended up buying a small size of the red apple balsamic vinegar to take home.
However, in most boutique stores like this, I would expect more interaction with the clerks in the store. Nobody greeted us, offered to show us the selections, explained what went well with their selections, etc. There was only one other customer in the store so it wasn’t like they were overwhelmed. The prices are on the more expensive side for olive oil, so I would expect more involvement from the store to make it a better experience.
Overall, this place has good olive oils and balsamic vinegars, on the somewhat pricey side, but the experience element was lacking.

Cameron from Manassas Olive Oil Company was kind enough to keep the store open late to treat our book club to a private tasting (you can book after-​hours tastings in the evenings). Everything they offer is delicious, and Cameron was very knowledgeable about the production side of the balsamic vinegars and olive oils, and also had several suggestions for unique and delicious ways that they could be used. Do yourself a favor and try the cinnamon pear dark balsamic and the peach white balsamic. You can thank me later.

Since all the important points are covered in previous reviews I won’t go into them again here. I only went in for a quick trip to pick up some oil. It’s really well designed and the layout makes it easy to navigate, especially if it’s crowded. I’m looking forward to going back when I have more time to try the vinegar section. I was also thinking this would make great holiday gifts for foodies.
