Stopped in here after being bounced around 3 different places looking for an early dinner on a Sunday. Really good bar atmosphere, extremely laid back. Ordered the crab dip to start which was pretty amazing and came in a crusty bread bowl. The slices on the side were even toasted which really added to it. The real kicker though was the ribs. I ordered a whole rack of the Drunken Ribs. They were some of the best ribs I have ever had. Fell clean off the bone when I tried to lift them up off the plate. Add to that their side of «bourbon sauce» that came with it. And not a little teeny cup of it either, they served it in a bowl. It was very much like the sauce that I get at a certain chain which was the only reason I went there anymore. This stuff with the food and the atmosphere however, I don’t think I ever will go back to the chain again. Get some of the Drunken Ribs, they are amazing. I will be back, and soon.

Great place in heart of Old Town Manassas. Happy hour $ 3.00 beer and rail drinks, plus Tuesday ½ price appetizers. Everything was tasty and prepared well. Service was prompt. Plenty of TVs to stare at and music wasn’t overwelming. Over all it was an excellent experience.

I love this place!!! The bartenders have the best personalities, keep you entertained and laughing! Let’s not forget the beer is always flowing, not to mention they make some fun shooters! Atmosphere is casual and comfortable! Definitely has a old time feeling, but that’s the luster of being in Old Town I suppose I suggest day or night, and if you’re hungry, the drunken ribeye and Delmonico is so delicious! If not the steaks, you can’t go wrong with their fall off the bone ribs! Gotta say for the eclectic crowd that goes in and out, hey are always normally friendly!

This place is notorious for trouble and cops. Not a good place to go out drinking in Manassas simply because of the potential of trouble that just lurks there. Just a bunch of wannabe tough guys. The crowd there is trashy and rowdy. If that’s your sort of thing then by all means. I can’t speak about the food since I only got one sandwich from that place and that was during the day and not night. The French dip was a good one though. Most of my experience with this place comes from a drunk friend of mine that will always suggest we go here and I’m just tipsy enough to say screw it and go. Overall, just be warned about the atmosphere that is there when you visit after dark. It’s not like a super troubled bar but around here in Manassas it is plenty enough trouble to attract the attention of police that are just looking to stick somebody in jail

My father in law had a coupon to eat here so thought we would give it a try. Although a little rough around the edges, it is a great place to eat. The staff are very friendly and the food is great. Ribs are the best in the area. The meat is juicy tender and falls off the Bone. Two different kinds, both great. Chicken is awesome and the onion rings are the best. Very different batter. Only reason not a five is that it could use a refresh but it does have«character».

Mackeys is the best bar in Manassas. Staff is super awesome. The prices are great, and the food is better than the majority of places in Manassas. YUMMMMM

Went here for football Sunday. Wasn’t overly loud in the place. Ordered some appetizers: onion rings which were very light and crispy, not overly greasy. Also had a loaded potato platter which was good. Mackeys American Pub has a lot of American décor and whatnot. We like that sort of thing. Overall good.

Mackey’s is a great place to dine. The service is always great, staff is friendly, and the all the food is amazing! The spinach and artichoke dip comes in a bread bowl and you have your choice of chips or bread. I personally like the bread and I get it every time.

It’s a fun rowdy pub. Drinks are cheap and the band is loud, definitely be back.

This bar has the potential to be the best bar in the area. The place is huge and it screams America. The logo actually has a screaming eagle, and the guy who owns it is from Boston, I think Dorchester, so he is legit. Clientele is local, get used to it people who don’t like it. One thing I miss from Boston is everything is wicked local. Mackey brings that localness that Virginia to the north lacks due to all the transient DC wannabe celebrities in the public policy sense. I am proud to live in Manassas with the local bar as an anchor. With all that said, it needs improvement. Basically someone needs to invest 150k and turn the place into the best local bar. I might do it someday. Onion rings are very good and the cheapest thing on the menu. Get here early if you want the heavy pour. Reasonably priced heavy pour.

Been here a few times(not always my choice) and have been disappointed each and every time. The service is consistently poor. Here are something a to watch out for and possibly enjoy during the night hours. 1. Your first mixed drink/cocktail will always be ok. Every drink after that will ALWAYS be VERY watered down.(Even if you throw out a hefty tip) You should only order straight liquor or beer after your first mixed drink. 2. The bar is usually very crowded and getting the attention of a bartender requires some effort. The bartenders are quick and courteous, but you almost need a flare gun to get service. 3. Beware of bikers. They enjoy standing around trying to look tough and picking fights. That’s all they do. Don’t make eye contact and ignore their 8 – 12 obnoxiously loud revs they will perform upon arriving at this fine establishment. 4. Beware of bro-dawgs. This bar attracts short fused, college dropout, faux-hawk sporting gentlemen and their lovely bimbo girlfriends. Don’t brush shoulders with them and maintain a 15 foot distance when they get really drunk. 5. Food is alright. It’s your average greasy bar food. The nachos are my favorite. 6. Bring your yelling voices. Even sitting down you will need to yell over the 3 drunk girls cackling into the microphone during karaōke night. 7. Maybe stick to generic beer. I have twice ordered a craft type beer that probably wasn’t popular and had skunked BADLY. Bartender was nice enough to make an exchange. Overall, it’s your average American dive bar. You may have ended up here because you were already drunk. Have a good time!

This is a place for a good time on a Friday night. They have some very good beverage specials, a DJ and some good zaa. Hey, this is Old Town Manassas. Ask for Rain… you might get a little wet… but you won’t mind.

We went for lunch today and we’re not disappointed. First off the Onion Rings are fantastic. Stephanie the Bartender was very informative and we ordered a Reuben and a Prime Rib wrap on her recommendation and were very happy. We will be going back to try some Steak Dinners!!!

This place was outstanding. We were walking through town and saw the sign for grand reopening. We decided to give it a shot. It was a Sunday afternoon. Food was great. We had the French dip and the sirloin wrap. We had some beers and they came in frozen mugs. Staff very friendly. Overall a great experience for Sunday fun day.

This is one of my favorite places to go to wind down after a crazy day at work. The upstairs is smoke free and typically pretty chill. I have sampled a good portion of the menu and have yet to be dissatisfied with an order. The portions are substantial for the price and the flavors are phenomenal. The bar is stocked with a decent variety as well, but I’m easy to please on that front. I recommend grabbing a beer and something beer battered or with the drunken glaze.

Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Try anything drunken! Still smoking on the first floor which can leave you feeling dingy. Overall an excellent dive bar!

**2.5 stars** I hit this bar once a year. Literally. It’s along the route of an annual bar crawl. I’m never totally thrilled to be going there but I always end up having a good time. The establishment itself is old, worn and the epitome of a dive bar(except huge). Drinks are reasonably priced and service is pretty good. Smokers are directed to the downstairs while nonsmokers can enjoy some breathing room upstairs. Being with a bunch of smokers during the bar crawl, I’ve never been upstairs. I’ve been there when they’ve had DJs and bands perform. Plenty of space on the«dance floor» to get your groove on. Sometimes a regular brings in this GIGANTIC game of Jenga. It’s incredibly loud when the jig falls, but entertaining to watch them play.
