Grover told me ahead of time that the tech he was sending was young and new to the company and business and although he wasn’t «completely clueless,» was still learning and might not be able to help me. I was expecting that when he came so I wasn’t upset and he actually was able to turn up the auxiliary heat and keep me warm over night. I guess Grover was trying to send him over to troubleshoot ahead of time since his other techs were backed up but that was pretty pointless since, not to sound rude, he didn’t know much of anything more than I knew, which was to turn up the aux heat. When the more experienced tech came that next morning, he also brought the less experienced tech to observe and learn. The more experienced tech couldn’t figure out what was wrong and basically just stood in the furnace room doing nothing and literally asking me the same questions 10 different ways. I didn’t see it but I heard a loud pop and my unit lost all power after about 40 minutes of them«trouble shooting» but finding nothing wrong. That seems like basic electric work… not shorting someone’s circuit breaker and losing power to their home. So, they left my home and I saw them walking around the complex looking for something. There was no communication about why they left… When they finally came back it turns out they were looking for the main circuit breaker box but couldn’t find it. Instead of asking me where it was, they just left again, wasting more of my time. When they came back they were on the phone(with Grover I assume) trying to get the power back on but whatever they tried didn’t work. They had to unscrew the cover off my circuit breaker unit in my home to expose the wires behind it to try to get the power back on and then they couldn’t screw the cover back on. Their hands were filthy… filthy! So, in trying to replace the cover, they got finger prints all over the cover and my walls. Their shoes were also filthy and they tracked bits of grass and mud in my living room. More when they kept leaving to do whatever, walking outside in the grass, and coming back in. I vacuumed and cleaned my wall once they left. They need shoe covers. They need clean hands. They need better communication with the residents. They need to know what they’re doing. They need to introduce themselves when they enter your home. They didn’t really fix the heat problem but after calling my dad and having him to tell them they need to call my leasing office to restore my power, I asked them to just leave. I called the leasing office to restore my power. Turns out the main breaker box is locked in the basement of the unit next to me… which I could have found out with a simple call for them if they communicated they were looking for it. Huge waste of time but 1 star for effort. I’m calling another company tomorrow.

Found this company on a recommendation from my work building maintenance person. We needed a humidifier put in the house. Contacted GT via text message(easiest way to reach me) and he got right back to me, had me send pictures of the job site, made the recommendation and the price via text. His guys showed up about 4 days later, early, and did a beautiful job. They stayed until the job was finished, very friendly, polite and clean. I’ve had bad experiences before with other companies but my faith in good workmanship has been restored! Will recommend this company.
